Sugar was born and raised into a middleclass family.
They've always been taught that for almost everything, you should put yourself before others. This made them become a kind and sweet person, as they are now.
They just attend a typical school and have an OK life. They have a large friendgroup due to being pretty kind, but don't often talk or contact these friends outside of school, usually keeping to themselves and living a humble life.
