Dominik is an impatient, blunt, and strict person to the core, both when treating others and himself. Rather, he's always much more strict to himself. He rarely filters his words, he will speak anything others need to hear as long as it's the truth. He rarely speaks and always has this sour look. Due to these nature, he became someone naturally feared and avoided.
Contrary to the people around him, he grows to be an alert and harsh person. It was both a facade as well as a choice he took to be the sword and shield for them. His quick actions and good judgement as well as capability, it made him acknowledged as the leader despite being young. Unfortunately due to his unfriendly demeanor, many people dislike him. Some people, however, think of it as a charm point.
Dominik surprisingly has an adorable side to him. He is weak towards excessive kindness and care, and tends to avoid them. He gets embarrassed and denies easily when someone hits the home. This unexpected side of him which he only shows to select few made them adore him even more.

Dominik lost his mother after he was born and lost his father due to natural causes when he was just three years old. He barely remembers anything about them but he highly respects and loves both of them. Carnelian, who was a close friend of his father, took care of him ever since. He considered the child as his own family and gave everything he deserved.
Not long after his father was deceased, he inherited the core of the clan leader as well as the thorny rose crest carved on his right chest. Accompanying it, was the extreme pain one couldn't bear to see such a frail child had to experience. Fortunately he was able to withstand it. The little boy thought of it as proof of his father's existence.
Once Dominik became older, he was determined to devote his life the same way his father did. Carnelian told him every story he knew about Dominik's late father. He was a proud knight, who acted as both sword and shield, protecting everyone until the end. As he waited until he became older enough to use his core, he kept on studying and practicing hard.
During the age of ten when his own core finally manifested for the first time, he was overjoyed. Because it was a core owned solely by his clan, and thus another treasure his father left him. Ever since then, he trained even harder, he studied more diligently, until he became the Division's top student at a very young age. Others saw this as a misery at the cost of his childhood happiness, but for Dominik it was a path he chose where he took pride in.
