Story

History

Sampson was born in Canada originally, living with his parents and older sister. Though when he was still young, his family moved down to Chicago, where he ended up growing up. Once he was more of a aldolescent, they went off to college to be a biology major, and become a scientist, later getting his masters in Biology.

Years later, he found a friend in a Kitsfell named Terrence. And while he enjoyed the little talking cat being around, he always felt something was missing in his life. Finding himself to be incredibly lonely, though he never really showed that. But eventually they got an idea, one that he thought would be revolutionary. An artificial intelligence that can have human emotions. So he got to work, calling it "Project Emotion" though gave the ai the name "Eve." Countless time was spent on the project, and several failed attempts later, he had created the robot. Though out of fear, he kept the original design and how she was made hidden, as he didn't want anyone taking the plans, and using them for greed or corruption.

Current Day

Time passed, and he really only showed the robot to a few people, until one day, by pure chance at a convention, he met another scientist, one that specializes in inventions. She was very interested in some of his tect and research. Where his knowledge in biology could help her in her experiments in tech that helps the human body.

The two started getting closer from there, where the other scientist, Amanda, eventually met Eve, finding her very interesting, but respecting Welt's boundaries in not revealing her code. Eventually, the two found they really liked each other, dating and soon enough getting married, becoming partners in making their experiments and inventions.

Robotics

Welts seems to have a big thing for various robotics. While he didn't fully major in it and it's not their study for research, he seems fascinated by it anyway. To the point where he was able to make the robot. This robot is a one time make though. And he seems to be very hesitant on sharing anything about the robot's build. Being fearful that someone may use it for their own selfish desires.

Design Notes

• He cannot see without his glasses, so he always needs them.
• Their clothes tend to be simple, but also can tend to be a little messed up or oversized at times.

Relationships

Eve

[ Creation/Daughter ]

Welts got this idea to create a robot with human emotions. Part of this came from him being pretty lonely from not having many people in his life. When he created Eve, he was very proud of her, and treated her like a daughter to him. And she sees him like a father to her.

Amanda

[ Wife ]

Welts and Amanda met during a convention for different scientists and inventors, both being introduced by a different friend. The two hit it off fairly quickly, and eventually started dating. The two were really happy with each other and eventually got married, combining both of their jobs into one big thing.

Terrence

[ Friend ]

Terrence lived in a shelter when Welts visited to study different Kitsfell behaviors. The two got pretty attached whenever he visited, but eventually it was told that if Terrence didn't get adopted soon, he would have to be euthanized. Because of this, Welts decided to adopt him himself, and the two haven't separated since.

Cocoa

[ Friend ]

Welts didn't know about Cocoa being friends with Eve for quite a while. Because of his overprotective nature, Eve had to keep the friendship secret. Eventually Welts found out about him. And while he was skeptical of him at first, he eventually learned to trust Cocoa to take care of Eve one day when he is gone.

Cathy

[ Daughter ]

Catherine was Amanda's adopted daughter when the two first met. While the two weren't super close, he did enjoy Catherine's fascination with his inventions and work. When him and Amanda started dating, he tried his best to spend more time with her as well to try and bond with her, until eventually he became her father and she felt close enough to call him as such.
