Evelyn

Personality: 

Evelyn is a rather seclusive character because for the majority of her life she has been living in the deep woodland for many years. Her secluded lifestyle had begun when she became less trustful of people. There were many people who pulled pranks on her, and a lot of her items for her alchemy and magic were stolen by delinquents- with Aldo as one of them (in his younger days). So, after those ordeals, it seemed natural for her to become more reclusive. 

Although she's cold, doubting and reclusive- once she becomes close friends with someone she trusts them more fully and tends to open up her emotions to them (especially when she's drunk). From the surface it's hard to tell if she's close to people or not- and it seems that she's cold to almost everyone. 

Although she seems cold most of the time, she is actually more like an Aunt/ guardian to those who are younger and seemingly innocent. She doesn't express her fondness in an overt manner (like lots of hugs, greetings, change of voice, kisses etc), but she softens her demeanor so that she is more approachable for the younger ones.  

Those who are loud or a bit too forward on first meeting might take her aback a bit, but sometimes it can be hard to tell. 

She helps those who have gained her trust frequently.

• Being alone and practicing her alchemy

Main connections: 

Aldo:

Evelyn is one of Aldo's main advisers and provides him with items to help him in the human world.  Despite her past with Aldo, they became better acquainted with each other after talking things out to each other for some time. 

Normally they are not on the best terms, so she only tries to help him if she sees something good for herself in return. Aldo mainly trades information on people Evelyn is interested in (either in the human world or in his home realm) and ingredients that she can't seem to find for her spells and potions. 

When the two of them go out for a drink, it's almost as if they become two different people! When they're both drunk and have had plenty to eat, they seem to be close friends and they tend to share stories and gossip from their lives. 

Suraj: 

After she helped clear the misunderstanding between him and the close-by villagers, Suraj has been very appreciative towards Evelyn. 

Because Evelyn is close with the villagers, she was willing to help solve the commotion by giving Suraj a humanoid form to make him less intimidating. Through this experience, Suraj learned that he should be more considerate of others, and admired how Evelyn negotiated with the village elder. 

During the incident, Evelyn realized that Suraj was very kind to her and (and being the somewhat suspicious character she is) she started to question his actions for a ulterior motive. She had contacted Marlowe, to request a reading on Suraj from Mina's charmed "crystal ball". The crystal ball verdict was that Suraj was pure with his intentions, and that he has no ulterior motive. Trusting the verdict, Evelyn began to soften around Suraj, and now she trusts him quite a bit.

Marlowe:

Evelyn met Marlowe at a witch's association and from that point onward they became good friends! At first, Marlowe was intimidated by Evelyn's initial demeanor but after finding common ground about rare items, Evelyn has developed a soft spot for Marlowe. They also trade information and items from their respective locations (Marlowe trades items from her coastal home/ "research lab" with Evelyn's goods from her forest shop).
