Lene holds the seat of Leo in the council of 12 in charge of the Republic. However, some suspect that she bought her way into the strenuous and taxing position that she holds, as she often pushes her work off to others and goes off elsewhere in the middle of the day. As a leader, she is supposed to be sensible and rational, but her bubbly and charismatic personality leaves her as anything but. She usually dumps works onto her secretary and other colleagues and goes out to party a lot, sometimes dropping in to bother her twin sister, Lea.
Once during her college years, she tried to host a sleepover party. Only three people showed up, the three being Scilla, Tanya, and Nuri, who was a year below them. They ended up becoming close friends.

Lene, along with her twin Lea, was born to an upper class family who had a lot of sway on the political stage. Lene had always been the more social and talkative one, while Lea preferred to hide away and read.
Lene had always been the preferred twin. At 4, her mother passed away, and her father (who had never really been accepted by his in laws and relatives) moved away, taking Lea with him. The love an affection Lene had grown to hear eventually stopped, and her family started critisising her every habit and action. Her family expected her to become a councilmember, and they pretty much guaranteed it with their influence.
Her stricts aunts and uncles drilled her on proper etiquette and educated her, but she never really paid attention to her tutors. As a result, she was scolded a lot. She didn't have a lot of freedom during her teenage years, so when she started university and moved into a school dorm, she cut as much contact as she could with her family, citing the heavy amount of school work.
