Tasha

"I aim to misbehave"

Background
Tasha's mother was very young when she had her, but was an ambitious and adventurous person and decided to bring Tasha along for all the odd jobs she did on ships and various stations. This meant Tasha practically grew up on ships, and usually had to be quiet and respectful and well-behaved. When she was around 8, her mother became fatally ill. The only living relatives she knew of where far away and someone she hadn't seen in years, but she needed a place for Tasha. She decided to go to Kilikiya and a) find a crew to take them safely and quickly to her relatives and b) potentially finding Tasha's father, since Tasha would have no chance of finding him later in life otherwise.

They found both. Tasha's mother was one of Niktos' very early clients, and he agreed to take Tasha to the relatives. Except he didn't. He grew attached to her, and she to him.

Losing her mother and being introduced to a whole new bunch of people and guardians did not go without complications, but Tasha eventually warmed up to not just Niktos but everyone else, and became a regular nuisance around the ship.

She eventually grows up to be a captain herself, of a small crew on a small ship, doing scavenging with special interest in archaeological artefacts. 

Personality
She is curious, adventurous, energetic, cunning, a little entitled as she's used to living on ships and also being spoiled for being the only child around. She likes to push boundaries and rules and is good at getting what she wants without other people realising it, and manages to get in trouble a lot. She is also very compassionate and empathetic - Dmitry gave her a plant once and she got extremely upset when it ended up dying. She is horribly afraid of losing, and has trouble connecting to people outside the crew. When she is around peers, she tends to act aloof, distracted and even arrogant - but feels both very upset and guilty when she's not being included because of this attitude.
