Personality

Traits- Polite, caring, sophisticated, impatient, sarcastic, grumpy, snob, nosy.

England presents himself as a proper English gentleman. He wants to be seen as modest and sophisticated which strangers or dogs that don't know him too well might assume. His image is important to him and he doesn't want to be seen doing or talking about anything that's "beneath him" or that could make him a subject of criticism. He has high standards and wants everything around him to be at it's best which is why he keeps himself looking and acting appropriate. He tries his best to be polite which helps others warm up to him quickly. He usually can't keep up the facade for too long though. He can be rude and a lot of his comments may go unnoticed to those who aren't familiar with him. England has a talent of being able to insult others in the nicest way possible with lots of sarcasm mixed in. Although, this is only the case when he isn't too upset. When he's mad he may raise his voice and start cursing, making it more obvious that he's being malicious. England is a very negative dog. He always seems to have something to complain about, making it near impossible to have a conversation with him where he doesn't complain about something. This is easily his worst personality trait and he is completely unaware of it. Gossiping is one of his favorite things to do. He always seems to have dirt on someone and is willing to share it in a one on one conversation without even being asked. He is just nosy and likes to know what others are up to even if what he's told isn't true. Speculating is part of the entertainment. England may seem like he is just a grumpy old man, which he is. The gloomy, gray atmosphere in his country contributes a lot to it but despite that, he can be caring and kind when he wants to be. The way he shows kindness might not be too obvious but he does care about the feelings of others and may lie or encourage them to make them feel better, even if he seems annoyed while doing so.

Appearance

England is a Corgi that stands at 5'2" (157cms) tall. He is a small dog with short legs and a skinny body so he usually doesn't take up that much space. He has no visible tail and it's unknown whether he was born without one or if he got docked at some point although most of the dogs assume he was docked. He has well kept fur and is groomed often since he sheds easily and doesn't like leaving a mess wherever he goes. As for his pelt, he is a white and a cream orange color. The white on his face covers his muzzle and extends as a stripe up to his forehead. His whole neck, the front of his torso and his butt are also white. He has white stockings that cover his paws up until his elbows and knees. His eyes are blue and he has white round eyebrows.

His main outfit consists of a grayish blue sweater vest with a red tie on top of a white dress shirt. He pairs this with khaki pants and a dark brown belt and shoes. England prefers to dress proper and presentable. He is rarely seen by his coworkers in more casual clothing. When he's home alone he does dress a little more comfortably but if he has unexpected company he quickly changes into something more appropriate. However, if the unexpected company is a member of his family he is a little more relaxed and doesn't bother.

Relationships

USA is England's first child. England was inexperienced as a parent-figure but still managed to take care of America for a long while. America wasn't easy to raise but England still managed and loved him. Throughout the centuries their relationship has been rocky but in present day they get along fairly well. England finds America to be very annoying and overbearing but despite that he still loves him. He will never admit it but America is the favorite out of all the children that England has raised. He's proud of his achievements and can't get over the cute little puppy he used to be. He just wishes present day America would be a little less wild and make better decisions, or just get married.

Australia is England's child. He raised him when he was a puppy and England considers him the worst child to raise. England thought he could handle anything after raising America but Australia was worse than he could imagine. He always misbehaved and got into deadly situations with animals that England would have to rescue him from. In present day, England still finds Australia to be wild and annoying but he still loves him regardless. When Australia isn't hyper they are able to have pleasant conversations and get along well since they have a few things in common. 

Canada is England's child. England took over in raising Canada halfway through his childhood so the most complicated years were already over. Canada was a well-behaved kid so England found him pretty easy to take care of. In present day, they talk often and get along. They share a normal father-son relationship and there isn't much to say about it.

France and England have a long history. They've been at each other's throats for centuries although its cooled down in the last few. They still bicker and give each other a hard time but they still go out of their way to talk to one another and exchange gossip. They've learned to get along and enjoy each other's company. They do consider themselves friends but they aren't afraid to put each other back in their place when the other gets too confident. Though, England is usually the one most guilty of that. 

Portugal is England's good friend. They've been friends and supported each other for centuries. They get along well and are comfortable around each other. Romantic tensions come and go between them though thats mostly England's fault. He knows very well how Portugal feels about him but is too scared to make anything official even if its what they both want. It never seems to be the right time for England. Despite the awkwardness this can cause they are still supportive to each other and the best of friends. They can share their personal thoughts with each other without fear of judgement.

Ireland and England are related. England does not like Ireland at all. He finds her to be too much of a violent slob and her drunken escapades to England's house in the middle of the night just to beat him up only prove his point. Even though they might bicker they are capable of having fun together when she isn't too drunk.

Scotland and England are related. England thinks Scotland is annoying and loud and hates getting teased by him, which is a common occurrence. However, they are capable of getting along. They simply just act like brothers.

Wales and England are related. They are often mistaken as twins since they look similar and have a lot in common. England is overprotective of Wales and looks after him though he can be irritating at times. Wales doesn't leave his country much so England usually goes to him to make sure he's doing alright.

Trivia

● Speaks with proper grammar and will correct other's grammar mistakes. He's aware of how annoying it is but he can't help it. It genuinely irritates him.

● Claims his tail was eaten by a demon. He originally told that to America the first time he asked about it but that has been his explanation ever since. 

●  No sense of taste. He eats and makes the blandest food and loves every second of it. He gets upset if other's don't like what he makes. He just can't seem to get it right. Despite this, he does manage to make tasty desserts that others can enjoy. America is the biggest advocate for this since the American military popularized the idea that English food is bad after eating their rations in ww2.

● Likes to keep his home and workspace neat and tidy. He can easily slip into a bad mood if his surroundings are messy. If he happens to leave a mess somewhere, like leaving behind fur in someone else's office he gets embarrassed and offers to clean it for them.
