Aaron is one of Axiom Agency's top private investigators. What makes him stand out from the others is his spectacular photographic memory. He is able to look at crime scenes and immediately memorize every detail present, no matter how miniscule. He uses this to his advantage by analyzing before and after pictures, and using logic to piece together what went down. Because of this, every unsolved case he has been assigned to has been solved with the help of his partner.

Even without his ability, Aaron's logic and reasoning skills are nothing to sneeze at. He is highly intelligent and often makes deductions while keeping in mind all the present facts and details. If a new information is made present to the case at hand, he immediately adjusts his way of thinking in order to accommodate the new facts.

The eyepatch he wears is actually a gadget that serves as a projector to display his case notes. It can also scan the area he's in to provide a small scale hologram in order to physically visualize the place he's been. The hologram being projected by his eyepatch is not always 100% accurate, so he uses his memory ability to fill out missing and important details of the scene such as fingerprints, footprints, markings, blood, and more.

Past

Aaron's decision to work as a private investigator has been set in stone ever since he was a child.

When he was young, his baby sister was once kidnapped by someone... or maybe a group of people. His parents were distraught and hired a private investigator to find their missing daughter. The man, going by an uncommon name, stopped at nothing to find her. His actions and determination filled Aaron with so much respect and admiration. "I want to be just like him when I grow up", Aaron told himself. He would always ask questions to the man about his work and he would ruffle Aaron's hair, explaining what he could in terms a 7-year old would be able to understand.

The investigator was eventually able to find the missing girl, and Aaron's parents were overjoyed and eternally grateful. On their last meeting, the investigator gave Aaron a business card. In front was his name, and at the back was the name of the firm he worked for.

"Axiom Agency"

Aaron would keep this card all these years as a memento, hoping to eventually meet the man once more at the same company. He worked day and night tirelessly studying, honing his logic and reasoning skills in order to pass all his exams with flying colors. And he did! Aaron became one of the top students of his course at the university, and he was immediately hired by Axiom Agency upon submitting his application. On his first day as an official member of the company, his first mission was to inquire about the man who gave him the business card. He approached his boss and asked, "Excuse me, but do you happen to know if this person still works here?"

"I'm sorry, but no such person with that name has ever worked for us in the past."

Aaron was stunned but more importantly, confused. That can't be right, isn't it? He knew he definitely didn't imagine the man, as he was the whole reason as to why he reached that point in the first place. Aaron initially assumed that the boss was lying, but further research shows that no one by that name really worked for the company- or hell, even existed at all. This lead him to conclude that the man who helped his family all these years was going by a fake name, but that made Aaron even more determined to figure out the mystery behind him.

Unknowingly to Aaron, there is much more to this secret than what is currently made known...

Aaron & Duncan’s final case together

During this time, Duncan and Aaron were still romantically involved so they tend to have plenty of lighthearted moments. During this particular case, Aaron invited Duncan to come with him to a warehouse to investigate. Despite his busy schedule, Duncan nevertheless agreed to go so he could spend more time with Aaron.

They explored inside and came across a particular room. Aaron was feeling a little cheeky that time and asked Duncan to play a little game of coin toss. “Whoever gets heads gets to look inside the room, while tails gets to be the one on standby.” Duncan merely rolled his eyes and shook his head, replying “Really? At this time?” but still obliged eitherway. And so, Duncan ended up getting heads while Aaron ended up with tails.

Duncan entered the room, flashlight in hand. There were nothing but crates and boxes inside, especially in the middle of the room. Aaron was watching from behind a glass window and gave him the signal to check them. Duncan opened one of the crates but soon came to regret his actions as what was inside it was nothing other than a bomb that would immediately detonate after lifting the lid.

It was too late for them to escape– the blast ended up severing Duncan’s right arm and blinding his left eye from the debris. The glass in front of Aaron shattered, a fragment piercing Aaron’s right eye. The whole room was on fire and the ceiling collapsed on top of Duncan. The sheer amount of adrenaline that kicked in masked the pain Aaron felt, as he wasted no time and immediately rushed inside to remove the burning rubble that was on top of Duncan. The two made it out of the warehouse alive, though not without any repercussions; especially for Duncan.

They both knew it was an accident, but that never stopped Aaron from continually blaming himself for failing at his job. He ultimately regrets being stupid enough to play a little game on a serious mission, and the fact that he, despite him being a top investigator, was not able to sense the fact that they were being lead into a trap.

"After all, why solve a case after it's happened... instead of preventing a case before it happens?"

Trivia

• He has a British accent (but he sounds cool I promise).
• He has photographic memory, which helps him remember crime scenes with clarity. Has a good memory in general. This proves to be both a blessing and a curse, as though he remembers certain details people tend to miss he also has a hard time forgetting painful memories of the past.
  • When things get really bad, vivid flashes of traumatizing events flash quickly in his mind and the pain he feels is almost as if he's reliving the same moment again.
• He enjoys collecting different patterned neckties and arranges them all in his closet by color. His coworkers tend to give him one as a gift for his birthday. His favorite neckties to wear are ones that are olive-green hued and anything given to him by his friend Chanto.
• Used to be against smoking, though stress makes him use a stick or two every now and then. He always makes sure not to make it an addiction though.
• As he's always tired, he tends to nap immediately once he gets back to his apartment and finishes his work. The coffee he constantly drinks makes him a light sleeper; instead of sleeping a full 8 hours at night he takes 3-4 hour nap intervals. Sleeping too much puts him in a bad mood.
  • On a related note, having at least one day without coffee gives him a terrible migraine that can only be cured by consuming caffeine.

Design notes

• He wears black gloves to hide burn scars from the accident. After he lost his right eye, he replaced it with a glass one instead. He always wears his eyepatch over it and never takes it off in public.
• Usually wears a trenchcoat, either beige or olive green.
• Under his coat is usually a long-sleeved dress shirt. His burns only reach up to his lower arms.
• His default necktie is a plain green one, though feel free to change it up such as making it patterned or striped. He'd love to wear it eitherway.
