About

Lucius, or more commonly known as "Z" or "Detective Z" works for Axiom Agency as a private investigator, though his main focus is to help out with Aaron's assigned cases. Also working as a part time bartender, he often invites Aaron to discuss case notes at the small bar he works at after closing hours. He always ensures the fact that they're both completely alone before talking about confidential information.

While people only know these as Lucius' two jobs, he has never disclosed any information about his hidden third job- being a hitman. With his expertise on guns and weapons, he never fails to get the job done swiftly and soundly. He often signs contracts with clients on an anonymous note to make sure no one will know his identity.

The only person who knows Lucius by his real name is Aaron. He let him in on his secret in order to gain Aaron's trust, so the only time he's referred to as "Lucius" is in private.

Past

Orphaned at a young age and separated from his sister, Lucius was adopted by parents who are part of a huge crime syndicate. He grew up around people who constantly committed foul play, so he adapted that kind of lifestyle. Eventually, he grew in ranks and was appointed to be one of the syndicate's best hitmen- who's goal is to get rid of anyone who gets close to finding out the truth.

He was ordered to take up Criminology in order to be employed in the police force as a mole. This may be related to reason as to why he is currently working as Aaron's partner. Every time Aaron gets close to the truth, Lucius always finds a way to lead him away from it; usually by implanting forged evidence or providing false but convincing information.

Trivia

• Proficient with guns and never misses his shots. Although to him, anything can be a weapon.
• He's ambidextrous, so he's able to properly use both hands to handle weapons with equal skill. This makes dual wielding and writing reports much easier for him.
• Always goes by a fake and common name in public, and is only known as "Z" among his coworkers.
  • AKA the equivalent of always giving a different name when ordering a drink at Starbucks.
  • The full name listed on his official papers and ID is Z Cineau (pronounced like sinnoh), which is... just an anagram of Zuciane.
• Has a smoking habit, though he usually eats mints afterwards to mask the taste and smell.
• Tends to deceptively flirt with his targets to get the information he needs. There are no real feelings attached of course. (Or maybe there is for a certain blonde?)

Design notes

• Usually wears his coat over his shoulders. The bottom of it is also tattered and slightly burnt. He makes no effort to fix this.
• The lapels of his coat have 8 clips in total. Three on his top right, two on his top left, and three on his bottom left.
  • While these may look like they have no purpose, some of those clips actually serve as audio recorders. They're especially helpful when recording conversations with suspects and clients.
• He often wears his fingerless gloves alongside his work attire (the one with his holster and belts). While working as a bartender, he just wears suspenders while keeping his hands free.
• While his hair can be put down, he prefers it being in a half or full bun.
• He has a slightly toned body, though it only really shows through his forearms.

Lucius' current work partner. They get along- however, Lucius enjoys teasing Aaron occasionally so "he could ease up and relax a little bit". The two work quite well together and are a very formidable team; they are able to solve different cases assigned to them with ease. Lucius is in charge of gathering intel, while Aaron works to put the different pieces together in order to form a bigger picture.

Duncan [ coworker ]

"He's always so negative. Not a good look for his clients is it?"

Lucius' coworker in the same agency. They don't have the best relationship especially with their connection to Aaron, but they still both hold professional conversations with each other when it comes to work. Although, there might be a sense of animosity between the two.

Chanto [ acquaintance ]

"A close friend of his, huh. Noted."

Lucius' acquaintance only because of Aaron. The two barely talk as they have no common interests and the fact that they have no reason to see each other without Aaron involved. Despite this, they still act friendly with each other out of courtesy.
