Name: ?

Alias: Lucifer (a name he would pick later), The Defense, The Healer

Age: ?

Species: Arc Angel

Sex: ?

Pronouns: He/him

Sexuality: ?

Occupation: Healing and Defense (Working for Obsolete God), then an advisor and right hand man to Satan

"This is very much a personal attack."

Lucifer was created by Obsolete God and worked alongside Adrahes and (pre 1st death) Famine. He was one of the three arch angels.
His job was to make sure that things in Heaven thrived, to make sure they had a good defense and also personally heal Obsolete God. Because of so, he spend a lot of time up close with Obsolete God, whenever he was in Heaven. For so long, Lucifer was as loyal as any of the other arch angels, but somewhere along the way, he get a good look at the sort of selfish creature Obsolete God was. Perhaps it was because he was so close to him,t hat he really got to understand that this man was... a hypocrite. Mean-spirited, unjust. Flawed.
To make a long story short, a recentment grew in Lucifer. God, the way he ruled, controlled everyone-- Lucifer disliked it. This brought on a lot of struggles concerning his sense of loyalty, duty and individualism. In the end, he concluded that he couldn't stand how things were and that it would be better for him to change. For him to DEMAND change. Of course Obsolete God didn't take this well. he was furious, far beyond Lucifer had ever seen him. It wasn't a wonder that he lost, Lucifer, despite the power he ralied up, couldn't win over Obsolete God. But it wasn't aboutowerpowering, it was about changing his mind - making him realize he was in the wrong. Most people didn't want to back him up against someone as fearful as Obsolete God. And those who was foolish enough to share his vision... Well. They fell too.
Surprisingly, Obsolete God didn't kill him. Lucifer was never quite sure why, but perhaps Obsolete God felt that the torment of falling would be a better punishment. Lucifer decided to do the last thing that probably seemed obvious and ask for a pardon by Satan. He had always been good at negotiating and working and though he had heard nothing but terrible tales of Satan, he figured he might as well try. After all, if he could stand God for all these years, why wouldn't he at least be able to stand Satan for a few conversations? Satan took surprisingly well to this, embracing Lucifer in a seeming display of karmatic justice to Obsolete God. Lucifer gladly played the part, relieved to at least know he could still take care of himself to a degree, even without the blessing of God. Over time, his influence grew to a quite noticable degree.
Lucifer's grip on Hell started to really show and Satan was very aware of the possibility of Lucifer attempting the same stunt he tried to pull in Heaven. It wasn't hard for the deity to realize, as criticism of Satan's decisions to accept Lucifer in, seemed to echo louder in Hell and its leaders. Lucifer actually didn't have any active plan at the time to overthrow Satan, finding himself quite content in the way Satan ruled. He felt acknowledged and appreciated, even if he and Satan didn't always see eye to eye in the visions they had on how to rule. It was therefor a mixed reception that came, when it was announced that Lucifer now RULED HELL.

To say this decisions was controversion was an understatement. Political uproar soared, when it had ben announced that Satan had been overthrown by Lucifer. Many rumors of how and why went around, but with Satan suddenly no longer there, there wasn't much to confirm. Lucifer himself kept his lips tightly sealed. The truth was that Satan had thought a lot about his position in the world and Hell's development. after many years of thinking about this, he had concluded that it would be the best for Hell and himself both, if the ruling system changed and for him to understand the world better. He had grown quite trusting of Lucifer, and though Lucifer was by no means the only individual he trusted, he wanted to use this as convenient excuse for his retreat. Lucifer had been absolutely baffled by this offering, talking it over and over with Satan before he seemed to understand Satan's plans. And whathe found out, more than anythign else, was that Satan was... so tangible. Understandable. With omnipotent and world-shaping powers and a mind far more wise, he still was similar to the souls around him. He wanted to change, for the system to change. And Lucifer-- Lucifer understood that better than most.

With Satan gone, a good ammount of tension from Heaven seemed to ease, though it was clear that it still was emploding on itself. Hell in turn was also busy with the new government, effectively putting a damper on the struggles between Hell and Heaven for a while. Lucifer kept ruling in Hell, now busy uniting a Hell that was in distress. At least it was somewhat better than any potential war between Hell and Heaven.
Lucifer the 1st was busy patching everything up and making his sins able to carry on in the time where he wouldn't be there. He knew what it was like, to be unfit to rule and suddenly having thrown that at you, so he tried his best to make sure it worked out. Many other devils didn't like Lucifer, being an "outsider". They didn't like that he seemingly favored his own small pet project, and so it caused a bit of a cultural rift where other devils weren't too find of the King Devils. The feeling was mostly mutual, with The King Devils very much staying close to themselves and building a rather seperate culture.
Lucifer the 1st died with as good a cushion as he could make - he would later reincarnate 5 more times, all within the same bloodline and iwth various levels of efficientcy, when it came to being a ruler.

Personality

Lucifer the 1st was a smart and loyal person. He learnt very quickly, in part because that was how he was designed. His sense of loyalty was incredible, despite the fact that he was the archangel to raise a revolution. He only did so, because over hundreds and hundreds of years, he began to read faulty logic and issues in the way Obsolete God ruled. Many doubt his loyalty in general, for what he'd later would be percieved to have done to Satan, but in truth he was still loyal to him to the end. He did his best to make a society out of a still young world, out of a still unshapen kingdom. Powerful, dignified and radient - many people thought him to be stuck up and ruthless. Argueably he was to times, but he fought hard for a lot of people's right to hate his guts. His next reincarnations would actually come to have a tense relationship with himself, due to the high expectations their first reincarnation had set. Say what you will about him, but he was a person to historically remember.

Physical Abilities

  • Can fly (though his wings looked different before and after his fall)
  • Very skilled in tending to wounds

Magical Abilities

  • He used to have Holy magic, wherein he mostly used white magic. After his fall, his holy magic was taken away, but when he was granted Unholy magic, he still had his affinity with white magic (white magic being specifically to do with defensive and healing, not anything holy). His abilities to heal were strong enough that some have considered him a deity.

Likes

  • Politics
  • The idea of a more democratic rule
  • Stars and celestial magic
  • Midjord (The neutral realm seperate from Heaven and Hell)
  • Magic that concerns space. He likes optimized storaging.
  • Specifically sorting and fitting tihngs neatly into shelves. He's that guy who makes putting into a shopping bag a game of tetris.

Dislikes

  • Obsolete God
  • Tyrrani and similar forms of ruling
  • Clutter

Trivia

  • Lucifer the 1st, is the only one of the Lucifers to have blonde hair
  • The pentagram on his face was gained, once he fell from Heaven. It's similar to Satan's symbol, but also differing and it marks his denial of Obsolete God and that he has chosen to serve Hell instead. Even so, it is different, since he no longer will be blindly serving and repeating the smae mistakes that he did before. Loyalty, but not blind.
  • Lucifer used to have a halo, which turned into horns. His horns were golden, just like his halo and though he initially protested it, Satan told him it was so that he may remember and hold his head high from what had happened. It was a sour past, but one that had informed who he was now, one that had shaped him. And because of so, Satan wanted it to feel similar. Because of several conversations similar to tihs, Lucifer actually respected and felt kinship with Satan in a way that felt more... real.

Significant Relationships

Obsolete God

Creator

Lucifer used to listen to him blindly, follow him blindly. Clean his cuts and mend his skin. This man was everything to Lucifer, the start and end of his world. He didn't adore him, but he didn't need to. He just needed to listen. Do you adore the air you breathe? Do you love the water you drink? Lucifer had no issue for so long, but over time... things changed. Some of it was jsut noticing that he felt a stronger and stronger urge to disagree on some topics and opinons. That itself is hubris and enough to be punished for. Another thing that caused his mind to doubt, was seeing his colleauges. In particular Famine. A being so bright, so unconditionally loving and loyal. Lucifer couldn't possibly meassure in his sense of drive, in his sense of judgement and want to carry that out. And yet he saw how Obsolete God fed him scraps of attention, of how Famine practically withered without his light and how when Obsolete God paid him mind, Famine consumed like he had been starved. It was... repulsive. Terrifying. That a being so smart, so thoughtful, could be reduced to that. All because of his blind love.
Obviously Lucifer and Obsolete God's relationship didn't pan out. Lucifer lost his everythign, his colleagues, his Virtues, his creator. The identity he had grown, would be tested as Obsolete God ripped the holy from his being, from his soul, taking back the light he had lend him. And Lucifer... Lucifer was an empty shell of what he had once been. The only tihng to carry him was that part of him that defied God, the part of him that depised God.

Adrahes

Adrahes and Lucifer used to get along. They never spoke to each other again after the fall, but ucifer remembers him fondly. He knows what Adrahes did, what he had to do. THere's no blame in his heart for his friends who had to got through the same as he. He was lucky. They're still there, having to deal with a deity that's unstable.

Famine

Colleague

Poor being.
Lucifer felt that Famine to times was jealous him, but he seemed to struggle that a lot. Lucifer didn't mind it. Famine is by far the one he feels the most pity for, out of all the Arch Angels. He worked harder, did more than any of them. He gave up his one pair of wings, just to be a better servant. Devoted doesn't even cover the leghts he'd go for their creator.

Satan

Current Boss/Friend

After Obsolete God, Lucifer was wary of Satan. All he had ever heard of him was horrible, foul. And when he met him he was... Odd. A deity to be sure, but for some reason he felt so-- approachable. Where Obsolete God was like looking into a burning sun, Looking at Satan was like gazing into the never seen before moon. What a contrast. What a difference. Lucifer swore to never follow with such devotion again, but to times Satan actually made it hard to follow that promise. Perhaps a part of it was the mere fact that he was made this way. Made to serve. But Lucifer would like to think a part of it was because Satan was more of... more of a friend, perhaps. That would be nice.
