Chenglei is by all means a lone wolf hunter. He lives alone, eats alone, and hunts alone. He isn't against other people, he just believes that his best work is done when he can truly focus. One could say that he's a bit socially awkward because he always speaks his mind and seems to have no regard for "pulling punches". At the very least he's quite honest. He finds the idea of death very fascinating, and thus is typically described as a morbid thinker. He isn't all about doom and gloom, however. He has a fixation for beautiful things - mainly monster parts that he collects from his own hunts. Chenglei enjoys being precise when he hunts, leaving as much of the monster in perfect condition as possible. He has a mild case of OCD so if things get messy it really bothers him. His sense of humor is almost non existent so jokes are usually responded to with a blank stare.

History

Born in the old world after his mother moved away from the new world. Being raised by a single mom had its challenges, and Chenglei learned how to be an adult at an early age. When he became old enough to work, he prioritized jobs that utilized his speed and agility to get work done and get paid fast. This gained the attention of the local guildmaster who encouraged him to give hunting a shot. It took a few years before he agreed, but it wasn't long before he was mastering the art of dual blades. He became efficient on his hunts and quickly earned a reputation for being somewhat ruthless and coldhearted because of his uncanny ability to essentially "assassinate" monsters. After the 5th fleet was announced, Chenglei's mother encouraged him to join the commission for goods and glory, with a side of family history. Chenglei was uninterested in knowing anything about his father, but he did like the prospect of collecting new monster parts and being more secluded from people. He placed high on the list of candidates, but rumor has it that he would have been higher if not for his unsettling display of merciless monster culling.
