BIOGRAPHY

This Aislind is a timeless traveling Seraph, and as soon as they tell you that, they are going to make you forget it.

Seraphs, a species that lives amongst humans, created by the former God with the express goal of preventing Demons from infiltrating their plane. Seraphs have the ability to manipulate humans' perceptions, including modifying or erasing their memories--a power that is mainly used when they demonstrate their full abilities in front of one. They are capable of destroying demons through touch alone. While each Seraph has similar abilities, the extent and efficiency of which they can use them differs from Seraph to Seraph; there are nine echelons into which Seraphs can be categorized, with the higher echelons holding more power and the lower echelons less. A Seraph's echelon, and thus relative power level, can be determined by the number of wings they have (though they are usually hidden). The outer appearance of a Seraph, which looks like any other human, is actually a carapace. It hides a more fluid and imposing form within, which can be exposed with physical stress (i.e. when taking direct attack).

Aislind likes to act mysterious and ethereal, which causes them to come across as a bit of an eccentric—a far more believable conclusion than 'not human', after all. They do understand the nature of their species and their job, so they tend to keep a distance between themself and others, which means they have few, if any, close friends. However, they are caring and loyal to those they care about to a fault, and ultimately care more about protecting innocents than eliminating demons (which, they have begun to realize, are often not the same thing). On the flipside, they are curious to the extent of nosiness, which can be irritating at the best of times.

Aislind has 6 wings, making them a member of the 6th echelon of the Seraphim--this also makes them one of the most powerful Seraphs out there.

 Design

Aislind puts a lot of effort into their appearance, the most immediately noticeable of which is their hair, which is a muted green, voluminous, wavy mass that reaches just past their waist and takes about an hour to sort out every morning. Intentionally, they look ethereal and androgynous. They prefer to dress in earthen tones, wearing simple but elegant clothes.

While Aislind looks human, their 'skin' is actually a somewhat flexible shell that contains their Seraph form within. When they are under significant physical or mental stress, it begins to break much like porcelain would and reveal what is underneath. The form underneath is large, imposing, and draconic—stark white, six-winged, and covered in peering red eyes. Aislind is proud of their Seraph form, and regrets that they cannot show it to anyone.
