Persistent Greatsword

The Persistent Greatsword was given to Echo after a grand battle against her rival, a Dragonborn known as Cyanwrath. After overcoming this fierce foe, and instilling confidence in herself and her abilities, she was given Cyanwrath's sword. As a magical item, it changes shape to suit its user, but Echo prefers not to use it very much...yet.

Bag of Moneyholding

A magical artifact that she came across during her adventures. It holds endless amounts of money, but nothing else. Echo has tried to fit many strange items in here, to no avail.

Personality Traits

Echo is a friendly and generally positive kenku whose grasp of language and mimicry is weaker than most. She tends to refer to only phrases she has heard recently, which makes her speaking choppy and hard to understand at the best of times, something that seems to frustrate her when she tries to express what she's feeling. Despite being a bounty hunter and having no respect for the law or the significance of the lives she takes, she's very trusting and tends to latch onto anyone who is even remotely nice to her. Her fear of being left alone tends to dominate her common sense at times, although when she's with people she likes, she becomes very sweet and happy, albeit quite clingy.

Bonds

Echo has lived her entire life thus far raising herself from the ground up through crime. She has made many friends, especially in Virtue's employ, but she has also made many enemies.

Flaws

Echo will do anything for those who would praise or validate her, even murder. She has no moral compass and only does things that she thinks will earn her approval in the end.

Features & Traits

Expert Forgery
You can duplicate other creatures' handwriting and craftwork. You have advantage on all checks made to produce forgeries or duplicates of existing objects.
Mimicry
You can mimic sounds you have heard, including voices. A creature that hears the sounds you make can tell they are imitations with a successful Wisdom (Insight) check opposed by your Charisma (Deception) check.
"Ear to the Ground"
You are in frequent contact with people in the segment of society that your chosen mark moves through. These people might be associated with the criminal underworld, the rough-and-tumble folk of the streets, or members of high society. This connection comes in the form of a contact in any city you visit, a person who provides information about the people, places and the political standings of the local area.
Fighting Style: Archery
You gain a +2 bonus to attack rolls you make with ranged weapons.
Second Wind
You have a limited well of stamina that you can draw on to protect yourself from harm. On Your Turn, you can use a Bonus Action to regain Hit Points equal to 1d10 + your Fighter level.

Once you use this feature, you must finish a short or Long Rest before you can use it again.

Action Surge
Starting at 2nd level, you can push yourself beyond your normal limits for a moment. On Your Turn, you can take one additional action on top of your regular action and a possible Bonus Action.

Grit
You gain a number of grit points equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1). You regain 1 expended grit point each time you roll a 20 on the d20 roll for an attack with a firearm, or deal a killing blow with a firearm to a creature of significant threat (DM’s discretion). You regain all expended grit points after a short or long rest.
Deadeye Shot

History

Echo grew up mostly on her own, making a living on the streets as most of her kind do - by stealing and killing. Her isolation growing up has taught her little of morals, and she sees no issue in taking a life so long as it's not someone she likes-- but if it would please another or earn her some praise, she can murder strangers and not suffer anything on her conscience, in part because she doesn't think about life as something precious that needs to be protected. She worked her way up from the dirt until her skills were good enough to get her employed by the sorceress Virtue herself, which is where Echo's real journey begins.

Trivia

Fashion
Echo loves different kinds of clothing, and can often become captivated by fancier clothing. She hopes to own some of her own one day. In addition, she has picked up a recent fascination with hats, and will steal them if it's convenient and she likes them enough.
Seasickness
Echo cannot stand being out on bodies of water, large or small. The very thought of it makes her uneasy. Upon ending up on a boat over the open waters, she instantly feels anxious and nauseous, and prefers to sleep if it is possible at the moment.
Orphan
Growing up on the streets, Echo has no idea who her parents were. Nobody took her in, only offered passing guidance; this distinct lack of socialization has contributed much to her lack of understanding in language and interpersonal relationships.
Connections

Aesriolus
Echo and Az don't tend to communicate too often, although they enjoy each other's company well enough. Echo likes to watch him, and is curious in learning the same way that he is. Float
Echo and Float have fought alongside one another enough times that she has taken quite a liking to them, and seeing their death - although it was only temporary - has left a scar on her heart, although she tries to bury it down. She thinks they're a great friend. Owned by a local friend.
Kale
Although Kale can be more reserved, Echo finds him and his condition intriguing. She sees him as someone strong that she can look up to. She also wants to climb onto his shoulders so she can be tall. Owned by arlyis.

Virtue
A tiefling sorceress with immense power, Virtue is the type of person who can strike fear into any who know her...including Echo. Even so, the sole fact that she took Echo in is enough for the bird to lay down her life for her. Working in her employ has introduced her to many people she has grown sincerely attached to.
