Søren

Søren is incredibly apathetic when it comes to others. He has little regard for the lives of others and rarely gives anyone the time of day. Very quick to anger, Søren becomes incredibly violent when he's unhappy. He does not see the harm in killing people to "solve" problems. He is fine with preforming most criminal acts as long as it gets him what he wants.

He is possessive over those he cares about, especially his rider, and will not let anyone get in between their relationship. To Søren, threatening anyone who may pose a threat to his and Galen's relationship is completely reasonable. He is willing to do anything to keep Galen happy and safe, even hiding the things he does from Galen. Søren's personality a strong contrast to his sweet and gentle rider.

When he is with Galen, he is very gentle, doting, and loving; not showing an ounce of his usual aggression. This is not a lie that he portrays for Galen, he genuinely cannot think of behaving any other way towards his rider.

Søren went 200 years without finding a rider, something rare for most dragons. Without their first rider a dragon cannot reach their full grown form nor can they take on a human appearance and are usually trapped the size of a large dog. He was often mocked by others for going so long stuck without a rider.

When Søren finally met Galen he became very possessive over the boy, determined to not let any harm befall him, no matter what the cost. Because of his desperate need to be bonded with a rider, Søren's personality became incredibly warped, not caring about anyone other than Galen and seeing his rider as the only important person on the planet. Søren views everyone else as expendable.

Due to their stark personality differences, Galen becomes very upset when Søren acts cruelly towards others, especially when it culminates in physical harm. Realizing that his personality is something genuinely upsetting to Galen, Søren is trying to become a better person.

The process is taking some time--mostly because Søren only cares about his own shitty personality because Galen wants him to become a better person. Not because he actually wants to be a better person.
