Appearance

Viggo is on the smaller side when he's human, despite being quite large in his draconic form. He's lean and carries himself casually, appearing to be in his mid-fourties, though his true age is a mystery even to himself (he stopped counting). With a cat-like elegance, he has a very laid-back posture and mischevious smile. Sharp features that still carry a type of youthful softness that gives away his immature personality.

  • Horns are black, visibly resembling antlers.
  • Eye patch over his right eye, three scars running vertically across his hidden eyelid.
  • Black and red scales along his neck, shoulderblades, sides of his torso and legs, and along his collarbone.
  • Gold, feline eyes.
  • Long, straight hair in a very reddish-orange color. Usually tied into a lose ponytail, reaches his mid back.
  • Bangs cut to eye-length.
  • Slightly curved nose of medium size.
Personality

Viggo has an incredibly lax persona, loving nothing more than to spend his day sunbathing as he takes a nap. He's generally accepting of anything his masters choose to do, following along for the ride and doing whatever it is he's told. There are very few things that Viggo will say no to.

Much to Talât's dismay, Viggo is incredibly loose, having spent much of their early time together going out all night and coming back smelling like a new person each day. Due to past neglect, Viggo has become someone who needs constant validation from others in order to feel as if he has a purpose, and sleeping with others was the easiest way to do that, as none of his previous masters seemed to care about his activities.

History

Viggo has had a list of previous masters throughout his years, considered to be an older and undesirable dragon because of it. He's had a varying array of personalities that he's had to deal with, many of them not exactly pleasant. Used to being neglected or downright abused, Viggo became a people-pleaser in order to get any type of positive attention from his masters.

As he got older, his masters became less and less impressed with being bonded to a dragon of his age. Often, when the bond was first forged, masters would express disappointment in being stuck with a dragon they deemed useless--and it was only through Viggo's struggle to prove himself that he was ever accepted.

The bond with Talât was mostly unintentional. Talât had no plans on becoming a rider, only having gone to the yearly festival to see the fact that dragons existed at all. When he approached Viggo, then in his draconic form, the dragon was feigning sleep, hoping that his age would be a deterrent to any possible master, wanting to avoid the viscious cycle he'd come to accept.

Talât proved more stubborn than Viggo had anticipated, waiting out the dragon's "nap." They became bonded, and once Viggo came to know Talât, he was glad to have a master that wouldn't treat him poorly. Though his feelings for Talât started early, Viggo kept them to himself to avoid making an uncomfortable environment, electing to go back to his usual habit of getting attention from nightly partners.

Over time, this became something irritating to Talât, who finally insisted he stop. Eventually, their relationship was given verbal recognition, and Viggo became wholly devoted to Talât. His feelings for his rider were incredibly strong, adoring everything about Talât and becoming incredibly affectionate.

Viggo's feline-like demeanor came out in full force, the dragon spending much of his time lounging on Talât's lap or nuzzling up to him for attention.

While on a dangerous job, Talât was killed before Viggo could save him. The dragon fell into an inconsolable depression, becoming a recluse and avoiding contact with humans for a lifetime.

Eventually, he emerged from his seclusion, not fully intending on seeking a new rider, but wanting to at least attempt to recover from the loss that still haunted him. He met and bonded with a young rider named Kieran, who shared every ounce of appearance that Talât once had, the reincarnation of the love he once had.

At first, Viggo was incredibly attached to Kieran, seeing him only as Talât, though he knew in his heart that, though they shared the same soul, they were not the same identical person. The dragon had to convince himself to see Kieran as his own person, and, though it was slow, he finally managed to do just that.

There were many, many ways that Kieran and Talât were completely different, and Viggo found himself adoring every trait that was uniquely Kieran's. Once more, he was falling in love with the rider he was bound to. Overjoyed was he to find Kieran shared his feelings--only to become upset that Kieran feared Viggo only loved him because he saw him as Talât.

Currently, Viggo's main focus is to convince Kieran that he loves him as Kieran, not as Talât's reincarnation.

Talât late rider/boyfriend

Viggo was head over heels in love with Talât. There is not a day that goes by that he doesn't miss everything about him, and, every day he regrets not being able to save him.

Kieran current rider/boyfriend

Kieran is the reincarnation of Talât, but they are two different people. Viggo loves everything about Kieran that makes him his own, separate person.

Søren friend(?)

Søren used to come to Viggo for advice when they had both been without riders. Despite the younger dragon's horrible attitude, he seemed to respect Viggo's experience, often asking what it was like to be bonded with someone.
