Description
Ronnie is a physics teacher at Pleasant Hill High School and plans to retire soon. He is well beloved by his students and has been teaching for over 30 years.
He is surprisingly good at Spanish. 

He is divorced and currently single. His relationship with his only son is strained, though it is his son's suggestion to rent out a room for extra income that allowed him to meet Marcus.

He sees the best in people and tries to be upbeat and positive, but he hides a painful and bitter past. He leads a normal and bland life and feels as if he hasn't felt happiness or passion, so he finds some vicarious enjoyment from encouraging Marcus, who has given up so much for his dream to become an animator. This causes some friction between him and Marcus, but together they both can become better people.
