Eris is very much a no-nonsense type of girl. She'll handle a few jokes just fine, but if you try to pull one over on her you'll surely regret it. Calm, collected, and calculating, Eris gets to know her surroundings very well and exploits whatever she can for an advantage. Though not an entirely caring personality, this isn't to say she's completely cruel. She generally extends grace and hospitality whenever people's intentions are deemed genuine, though she usually expects some kind of future favor in return. She handles herself very well alone, but rarely prefers company. With her tough physique and brave, strong personality, she's not exactly the kind you'd like to bother.

Raised into being a royal guard, Eris doesn't have much personal history of note. She's highly trained in combat, and isn't afraid to use her skills to protect her charge. However, as Eris rose through the ranks and made it to Silvain's personal guard team, she realized something. She hated her king! Working with him up close, she got to witness firsthand his donning of charisma for the masses, only for it to be discarded and replaced with selfish interests and a generally angry personality. Eris was sickened at just how war hungry and aggressive Silvain really was, so she hatched a plan. Gathering intel using her position, she covertly thwarted battle plans by leaking attack strategies to their target kingdoms, in the hopes that they, with their armies, would be able to take Silvain down.
Most of these sabotages did little more than inconvenience Silvain and keep him on his toes, rather than actually spell demise for the cruel king. With each attempt failing worse than the last, Eris thought to expedite her plans - she wanted to get someone closer to the king in on her plans. Turning to the king's secret affair, Amber, she hoped to win favor and assistance. While Amber had told her he'd help, he later on ended up blowing the whole plan, and getting Eris caught to boot.
Seeing as how her plan backfired, Eris fled the kingdom as quickly as possible, making a new home for herself in a neighboring kingdom not yet under Silvain's control. She ends up running a small, quiet tavern, and all is peaceful for a while... until her past comes knocking at her door, and she's forced to host secret resistance meetings against Silvain's rule in her basement. She'd be lying if she said the prospect of finally gutting the fucker didn't appeal to her, though.
Eris lives in a world much different to the modern day. Kingdoms reign and those with the most territory are the most powerful. Her former king holds the most territory in the entire region, so Eris had to flee very far in order to escape the lands he rules. The kingdom she resides in now is strong, but not nearly strong enough to take on Silvain alone. Eris' tavern resides on the outskirts of her new kingdom, but on the side furthest away from Silvain's reign. It's surrounded by forest, though her tavern resides only a little ways from a main road into the kingdom.
