Drew had a bit of a messy beginning into vampire life. Sex drugs and, oh,, you knowww. Death.
It started out as a kinky threesome, strangers to Drew but the other two were together, everyone incredibly high out of their minds... Things start getting rough and bloodplay comes up, Drew doesn't mind that one bit! He's got plenty of blood, go on n take some-! (🤦♀️) However one of them ends up puncturing a vein causing some massive bloodloss. Hehe, oops! :) One of the partners just lets this happen and starts licking up the blood not giving much care to the fact that he's bleeding out here, while the other seems at least a bit concerned for him. Drew is obviously panicked but honestly just can't do much about it, high and drained he's feeling weaker by the moment. He's assuming the others are just worried getting caught with all the drugs they've taken, but he's confident that Someone here will do something! Call emergency services perhaps? Put pressure on the wound? Anything???? Ah, well. She does SOMETHING... by cutting her own wrist and having Drew drink her blood. Unknown to him, but this starts the vampire transformation. His last thought? That she's so fucking high and paranoid that this is how she thinks a blood transfusion will work. And then he blacks out.
And then he woke up! From what he thought was the weirdest drug trip he's ever had, but what really turned out to be his actual death and rebirth into the supernatural. Typical... He's still groggy and confused and a bit in disbelief when they tell him he's a vampire now. What kinda freaky shit-!
The coven that turned him gave him a weird cult vibe, he didn't join them and instead has just been figuring things out on his own. He's had a distrust of covens ever since then, he's a loner and says he won't ever join one, even distrusting Levi and Izzy's, who often protect and rehabilitate vamps that need the help figuring out their new vampire lifestyle. He likes them personally, despite this, it's just not enough to want to rely on them. He has his own little bachelor pad, a bit of a mess absolutely, but it's home to him.
In recent years though, he stumbles on Brent, a newly turned vampire who needs help. He seems starved and scared, so Drew takes him back home with him to try and care for him a little. Turns out Brent hasn't been feeding because he has a fear of blood. Uh oh!!! There's a lot to unpack there, and it's a bit tricky for loner Drew to handle on his own, but he wants to try his best... They've bonded to each other! He does eventually give in and ask Izzy and Levi for advice, but they aren't moving Brent into their big.... THING.
Drew insists that only two vampires doesn't make a coven, but essentially, yeah he has created his own little coven with his own terms and comfort levels. He has to admit, he does like not always being alone, and having someone trust you so much? Feels nice!
Looks pretty much the same to non AU Drew, just + fangs and maybe some claws so its fine.. He'll still have the same tattoos.
Dresses mostly the same except he tries a little harder? More emphasis on spooky looks and playing with accessories more often. I imagine a staple in his wardrobe is a cool leather jacket, rather than a torn up jean vest he normally goes for. (obviously tho he'd still look great in the jean vests, up to you what fashion you wanna draw him in!)
Fun facts: He doesn't have bite mark scars! The vampire that turned him used a sharp clawlike ring to pierce his skin instead.
Also, the vampires that turned him are actually his EX's in the regular OCverse, Libra and Chelsea.
