Drew is a guitarist and one of the founders of the band GHOSTWRATH, along with his best friend Mark on the drums. He originally played bass but switched to lead guitar after the band took a break and reformed from its early days. Now Izzy and Nate are part of the band!
Drew's cocky, a lil rude, and butts heads with A LOT of people. But if he's your friend he'll happily kick anyone's ass if they try n mess with you. Not good at talking about feelings but I think he shows he cares in his own way, even if it's kinda hard to see as an outsider. Definitely the type of guy to bring his guitar to a party and play "Wonderwall". Thinks saying he's in a band is considered flirting. Has substance abuse problems, undiagnosed mental illness and family issues throughout his life,, he's Really Going Through It™ sometimes. Looks perpetually tired. (because he is)
He's private about his sexuality with other men, but it has come out that he slept with one of Nate's current boyfriends before they dated. He's not exactly fully in the closet and hiding the fact he likes men, but he usually keeps it between him and who he wants to sleep with, which is a big contrast between how obnoxiously open he flirts with women. Drew had a hurtful and homophobic father so he really suppressed some big feelings dealing with his sexuality. I think he's just trying to figure himself out now and he's really not used to being introspective. Showing a vulnerable side of himself is HARD!
Meets Brent at a concert and hangs out and eventually starts hooking up with him. (And then boyfriends even further in the future!) They simultaneously move fast and like, achingly slow. They're really compatible but a lot of them taking a while is Drew having a hard time dealing with feelings. Brent will be the first partner he says "I love you" to (and really means it), it just, takes him a while to admit that. He has a lot of repressed emotions to unpack first.. Luckily he sees Brent dealing with his own stuff in therapy and figures he could give that a try himself, it's fine and maybe he can finally start to deal with this shit.
At some point he finds out he accidentally had a kid a few years ago. Fuckin' OOPS.
He doesn't normally like kids too much. He has two younger siblings (Faith and EZ) so he's not clueless with children, he would just rather not. But he does what he has to do and meets with the other parent, Cameron, again and then his daughter, Sheena. (Maybe reluctantly, only after his friends kept begging him to do the right thing for once in his life because this affected more than just himself. but... he Does it, at least?) Turns out Sheena's parent and new step father need some help. They've recently had a new baby with health problems, and Sheena's been acting out and they've all been so tired lately. They don't really have anyone to turn to and was wondering... if Drew would maybe step in and help. Just a little, when they need him. He has a hard time saying no to this, but boy this is not an easy thing for him to process. Turns out as far as kids go,, she's very much like him though. Rambunctious as hell! A part of him actually kinda likes having a little version of himself like this.. maybe it won't be so bad? I mean it's hard but it's not how he expected it would be, in a good way. He still has a complicated relationship with fatherhood and does not want to be called dad or anything like that.
Appearance
He's short and fat, his weight does fluctuate a bit but please just don't draw him too skinny. He wears grungy looking clothes, often layering up with flannels or a denim vest with lots of pins and patches. Blue hair, but often with dark reddish brown roots growing out, and a scruffy beard. There's also a period of time where he gets a head injury that needs stitches, so he's partially shaved and lets his color fade back to a bleached blonde for a while.
He's got a scar on his left cheek.
Piercings: he has double eyebrow piercings on the left side and a labret and,,,, a prince albert piercing. :/ dont @ me
Tattoos: King of Hearts/Suicide King card on his right arm. A poorly drawn pig on is lower back/left side, it says Sum Pig. A broken heart on his left hand ring finger, a pentagram on his left hand middle finger.
