DESCRIPTION
Drew is the guitarist and one of the founders of the punk band GHOSTWRATH. Drew gives off the energy of being overly self-confident, but lets be honest, he's filled with self loathing and destruction. And he doesn't know how to manage his emotions!
APPEARANCE
He's short and fat, his weight does fluctuate a bit from time to time but he's not skinny, please don't draw him too skinny. Blue hair, but often with dark reddish brown roots growing out, and a scruffy beard. There's also a period of time where he gets a head injury that needs stitches, so he's partially shaved and lets his color fade back to a bleached blonde for a while. He's got a scar on his left cheek. He wears grungy looking clothes, often layering up with flannels or a denim vest with lots of pins and patches.
Piercings: he has double eyebrow piercings on the left side, a labret and ... a prince albert piercing. :/ dont @ me
Tattoos: King of Hearts/Suicide King card on his right arm. A poorly drawn pig on is lower back/left side, it says Sum Pig. A broken heart on his left hand ring finger, a pentagram on his left hand middle finger.
About
Family
Drew doesn't have the best relationship with his family, especially his parents. He had a hurtful and homophobic father so he really suppressed some big feelings dealing with his sexuality and just openness in general when it comes to feelings. Drew is the oldest of three siblings. Faith was born when he was 6 and EZ was born when he was 11. He was not happy about this. :/
His parents don't see the importance of therapy and meds bc "That's Just How Everyone Is". (voice of someone who has loads of undiagnosed mental illness) And unfortunately now that's why Drew is The WAY that He IS. On top of that, with them being super religious and homophobic, Drew has a lot to sort out with himself later in life.
When Drew is 26 he finds out he accidentally had a kid at 21. Fuckin' OOPS.
Backstory
In high school, Drew and his best friend Mark get the bright idea to start their own band. They pull their two mutual friends, Anna and Toby into the mix. Drew couldn't afford any actual instruments yet and borrows Toby's bass guitar, giving Toby the role of guitarist since it was all his shit that they were using. Mark offers up his parents garage, Drew offers up the name GHOSTWRATH, and before you know it, that's a band!
The gang spends their spare time between band practices watching the horror movies Drew's never allowed to watch at home and generally hangin around the nearest convenience stores causing stupid mischief. Drew's pretty depressed around this time, struggling with his sexuality a bit and just miserable at home. Boy, I sure hope he doesn't meet a cool girl who will break his heart sending him further down his depression spiral!!
Later, Toby invites his cousin (and Anna's friend), Libra, to hang out and watch band practice with the gang. She wants to join and ends up playing rhythm guitar and singing backup vocals for Anna. Well, unfortunately for the band Drew and Libra become absolutely enamored with each other, Libra cheats on him, and once their relationship crashes and burns, the band's foundation sort of does, too. Libra wasn't about to leave the band without a fight, and made everyone pick sides which formed a rift between Toby, who insisted they could just try to get over themselves for the sake of the band? And... well the rest of the band who knew Libra fucked up. Libra's out, but GHOSTWRATH doesn't break up immediately, but... they will! Drew, left alone to his own devices in a horrible depression, tries to drive off a bridge. He changes his mind at the last moment, but still driving wrecklessly and eratic crashes into a tree. He is, very luckily, okay.
Story
Drew gets his own guitar and still jams with Mark during their bandless days but between all the shitty little retail jobs, the drug use he's exploring to cope, and the unaware mental illness fucking with him, he's not thriving and spends a lot of time locked up in his room. Once a close friend, Vulture, dies of overdose, and seeing how wrecked it made Mark, Drew realizes they need the band back. They need something back! One of them has to stay sane for the other! He recruits Mark's little brother Nate, who in turn recruits his best friend Izzy to try out for some band practice. GHOSTWRATH is back, baby!

Mark Ramirez [ Best Friend/Bandmate ]
Mark and Drew have been besties ever since Mark stole his cool pencil in the second grade. They formed a band together in high school and stick together through thick and thin.
Brent Ferraro [ FWB turned boyfriend or whatevr ]
It takes a lot to get Drew, with his fears of commitment and being outed, to get comfortable enough to call Brent his BoyFriend but by god he does it. The wild son of a gun.
Libra Brennan [ Ex-Girlfriend ]
Drew meets Libra in high school at a really low point in his life. He was contemplating suicide, but after talking with her and seeing the band might take her in as another guitarist and vocalist he thought, well, hey, lets see where we're going with this! Well it turns out Drew falls head over heelsThey have a whirlwind romance, making out on friends couches after band practice, shoplifting for her, sneaking out and yelling into the night to get their frustrations out, sneaking out to make out.
Well it turns out Drew isn't the only one Libra does this with, she was cheating on him with another boy from her school. God... Drew is absolutely heartbroken and so so so angry and is sent into the worst depression spiral of his life. Drew's still mad at her to this day.
Don't get it twisted though, they can and they will hookup again despite anything Drew says about her.
Chelsea [ Ex-Girlfriend ]
Drew and Chelsea were dating for all the wrong reasons, and its hard to see if they ever really truly liked each other. But Chels wanted to rebel and piss off her parents and Drew wanted to get his parents off his back, and the relationship served that purpose for a short time. Drew was also trying to push away Gay Thoughts TM as he just wasn't ready for that.
They fought over lots of little things, and once Chelsea decided to study abroad they both knew there was no reason to keep up with this charade. All their friends are relieved. 👍
Teddy [ Ex ]
Drew had finally started to give up the pushing away gay thoughts thing and meets Teddy at a bar one night. They hit it off, despite some minor hiccups (running into an ex, spilling a drink on Teddy, etc). Hookups lead to, like, kind of dating??? Drew would struggle to admit that, but they were pretty inseperable for a time, even if they didn't fully put words to what they had going on.
Unfortunately! Good things aren't always meant to last. Drew's undiagnosed mental illness led to some intense paranoia that often focused around being Found Out TM. After a particular sleepless night thinking to himself, Drew came to the conclusion that he should break it off. He needs to go back to random hookups where no one's gonna recognize him and Teddy needs the chance to find someone to be "Out" and "Normal" with him. Teddy takes it hard, he still wants Drew after all. Drew came to this decision all on his own and didn't leave much room for them to talk it out together.
