It’s not that Pharaoh actually likes his job. He doesn’t hate it, either. However, he’s very concerned about making sure work gets done - and well. According to Pharaoh, most people are unable to get work done well. So, he’s devoted a lot of time to his job. People commonly describe him as a workaholic.
Pharaoh has a tendency towards being snappish. Most of the time, this stems from his semi-eternal foul mood. Nothing ever gets done correctly, and he finds himself fixing everyone’s mistakes. People tend to tread carefully around him - he’s known for biting people’s heads off for even the smallest infractions. At least it gets results?
Pharaoh is very intelligent. Numbers and math come to him quite easily. He also picks up new skills very quickly - just give him some instructions and some time to fiddle around with whatever it is, and he’ll get it. After all, Pharaoh doesn’t give up. He’s a very determined individual - if he’s committed to something, he’ll stay committed. It’s almost impossible to get him to stop.
Of course, Pharaoh does have a secret sappy side. It’s not something most people get to see, but he’s got a huge soft spot for dogs. And his husband. And romantic poetry. He actually has a secret folder full of romantic poetry. It’s really adorable to be honest. Of course, if you call him adorable he’ll strangle you but hey. It’s worth it.
Pharaoh is a man who loves his creature comforts. He’s not the type to step out of his comfort zone very often - he much prefers comfort over everything else. That’s why his office is designed the way it is. It’s a very comfortable office: everything from the decor to the desk was chosen to create Pharaoh’s ideal workspace. His home is like that too (with Halden’s input of course!).

- Pharaoh tends to dress like a businessman at all times of the day. However, he will wear both pants and a skirt interchangeably.

- Pharaoh is probably addicted to coffee - he’s never found without a cup.
- Him and Halden’s dog Jack was 100% his idea
- Although Pharaoh keeps a regular sleep schedule, he’s still incredibly tired. He’s not sure why.
History
Pharaoh doesn’t have a particularly remarkable life. Other than his parents’ divorce and subsequent remarriage to other people, he had a perfectly average middle class life. No one bothered him at school and he didn’t bother anybody.
By sheer luck, he managed to get into a governmental accounting job. It was a shock to him, but it paid the bills and meant that he had a fairly secure career path ahead of him. However, it was… missing something. After a while, he realized that he wasn’t really fond of the environment he was working in.
So, he applied for a job at the new casino that had opened up. Surprise, surprise, he got the job. Pharaoh was an instant hit with Gene: he was smart, efficient, and had a good sense of how money worked. He climbed the ranks very quickly.
Pharaoh met his husband, Halden, at a work party. He’d barely bothered to interact with the people in the front of the Casino as he wasn’t particularly fond of them. However, Halden began to flirt and Pharaoh couldn’t help but take notice.
It was a long and tricky relationship. Halden kept doing shitty things, Pharaoh would break off the relationship from anywhere from two weeks to three months, they’d get back together. Rinse and repeat.
However, they eventually got married. It took a lot of relationship counselling to get there, but Pharaoh is happy with the way things turned out. He loves his husband a whole lot after all.

Pharaoh is so utterly in love with Halden. Despite the really rocky start to their relationship, Pharaoh couldn’t wish for a better husband. Now that they’ve figured everything out, Halden and Pharaoh have a very comfortable home life. They’re incredibly professional at work, of course. It helps that they work in two completely different parts of the casino. Pharaoh doesn’t know where he’d be without Halden.
Pharaoh honestly doesn’t know how to feel about his brother. Sure, Elowyn is way richer than him and has a bit of a reputation as a philanthropist. But why does he have to be such a condescending ass about their childhood? Elowyn is such a jerk sometimes! At least they can have the occasional friendly chat.
Pharaoh respects Gene. She’s got a good head on her shoulders, that woman. Although Pharaoh disagrees with some of her methodology, she remains one of the best people he’s ever met. Perhaps not morally - no one who works at the Silver Dice is anywhere remotely near moral. However, she’s incredibly brilliant and has a good vision for the casino’s future.
Alexis seems to have taken a liking to Halden, and by extension Pharaoh. He’s not quite sure what she wants, but she’s adorable. Thankfully, she’s trying to keep the relationship professional. Pharaoh’s not sure what he’d do if she tried to invite herself home for dinner. He’s not sure he’d take it well.
Diana is the kind of person whom Pharaoh loves to go out for drinks with. She’s witty, clever, and commiserates with him about the idiocy of people. In fact, Pharaoh would say that she’s probably his closest friend. It’s kind of annoying how people think they’re together though. They’re both gay, guys! Chill out!
