London born and eldest of two children, Theo's childhood was chaotic but comfortable. By no means intentionally neglectful, her parents juggled multiple jobs to afford a decent lifestyle for their family—often leaving Theo to balance the role of sibling and guardian to her younger sister. She grew up painfully aware of the tight pocket book her family lived by and strove to one day ensure her family would live the lavish life only achieved by old world celebrities and professional heroes. Teddy decided to aim for the latter.

As a young adult she manages to earn her way into a promising school on a slew of scholarships. However, her hard work comes up just short of a full ride and what the scholarships don't cover, her parents offer to pay. Teddy accepts their generosity, giddy for her chance at success, but finds the payments are slowly hurdling her family into debt. Seethed in guilt, she drops out of hero school.

Heartbroken, she plans to help her parents pay the debt that (she’s convinced) is her fault. Her parents try to encourage her to return to school, but the efforts yield no real results. At twenty Teddy is working a slew of odd jobs— some teetering on illegal— that range from convenience store clerk to paper girl to lyft driver. Her primary source of income, however, is one she endeavors to keep a secret from the rest of her family: underground fighting. With a quirk like hers, Theo quickly learns the easiest way to make back the money her parents lost would be through a ring. She spends months in an illegal club, and while the payoff isn’t nearly as hefty as she thought it would be, the money is at least consistent.

However, the club isn’t sanctioned, and anyone in their right mind could tell you that quirk users going ham on one another with little to no restraint isn’t a GOOD thing. So, the place is eventually busted, and Theo is one of many taken into custody after a police raid comes to fruition. But the rowdy fighter gets lucky— catches the break in the form of an apparent admirer and frequent patron. He offers to pay her bond in exchange for a talk. Warily, Teddy accepts.

From their talk blossoms a beautiful friendship and, to make a long story short, is the beginning of Theo’s career in vigilante justice. The man reveals himself to be a member of a tightknit group, one he refers to as a “Network”. He likens them to a hero agency for those unable or unwilling to become a hero themselves, an agency for vigilantes, and offers to Teddy a “trial run” position.

She accepts, and the rest is history.

The user can absorb the kinetic energy of sustained force and release it back at a target with up to twice the power. Redirection of said force is essential, as going without the release of absorbed energy could lead to larger internal injuries for the user. When active the body can withstand otherwise grievous blows, however the absorption and redistribution levels are usually dependent on the pain tolerance of the user. Injuries outside of the physical (burn, electrical, mental, ect) can not be absorbed or redirected.

Due to the nature of her quirk, Teddy's body can moderately absorb the trauma caused by physical blows. Aggressive, consecutive force negates this innate ability and internal/external damages are still taken.

Teddy has an absolutely absurd pain tolerance level. She's much more likely to pass out from exhaustion than she is to back out of a fight.
