Shadow Magic

The tattoos on Sasha’s skin are the conduit through which he casts the shadow magic that he specializes in. Many of Chernobog’s spawn have long since applied magical runes to their skin and fur to hone their magic, and it’s been the same with Sasha’s family. The neat tattoos on his arms are permanent, but every other tattoo on his body is applied by himself and wears out, much like an eraser, by the use of magic until it has used up its resources. The tattoos must not be covered by clothing in order to be utilized.

Scales

Sasha is not a pure Chernobog’s demon, although most can’t tell just from a glance alone. His feet are reptilian in appearance and covered in scales just past his ankles. A thin trail of scales can be found along his back, as well. Aside from those two things, it’s hard to tell Sasha has any nagini blood in him...until he starts sunbathing alongside a group of snakes.

Snakes

Sasha was raised alongside a plethora of snakes, as was typical for naga and nagini children. Many of these snakes are still with him now. They serve as his familiars and protectors, but only the largest of them- a black snake named Ichor- fights alongside him in battle, working in tangent with his shadow magic. He allows the snakes to do their own thing while he’s at the academy, and they often come back to him with pieces of gossip and information that they hear amongst the students.

About

Sashenka was born to two loving parents of demonic origin. While his mother was a nagini, a race that had long since coexisted with humans, his father was a Chernobog’s demon, one of the leading forces of the Hellish army that constantly clashed with the witches of Earth. Chernobog’s demons on their own were a rare sight on Earth, as many of them had a bloodthirsty disposition and relished participating in the wars against both mankind and angels alike, but that didn’t mean they didn’t exist. There are many sects of demons from Hell that have escaped to Earth, wishing for a peaceful life for them and their children. Sashenka’s father, Vasily, was one such demon, and in his pursuit of a better life he fell in love with the woman that would birth their child.

From the start, Sasha was seen as a guiding light for his parents. They truly believed that he would help them find their place in the world amongst humans, and so did Sasha, growing up. He wanted to give the peace his parents had never experienced to them, and when he came of age he began training to do just that.

Yu Shenlong Rude Classmate

Yu, like many human witches, simply hates Sasha for what he is- a demon. While he cannot fault him for the prejudices he was raised with (sincerely hoping that they were prejudices that the witch was trying to overcome), Yu seems to take it a step above and spit in the face of Sasha’s kindness. He’s a relentless bully, and is constantly found ridiculing the demon for his upbringing and his ‘traitorousness’ towards his own kind. He has made it no secret that, should Sasha step out of line, he would be the first to put him in his place.

Tex Crawford Associate; Acquaintance

As an informant for the Academy and a demon, Sasha remains in close contact with Tex. He often visits him with Svetla, and Tex pulls out all the stops so that the two of them are comfortable while in his home. He's very curious about how Tex became a berserker, but doesn't quite know how to breach the topic- especially when Tex seems to ignore any mention of his affliction...
