He was a popular teenager in his school years, but popularity always came to a problem. He'd still find himself dragged into fights because out of pure jealously from the other boys due to his series of successes. And since this, his parents started to notice temperamental issues but was too late to prevent anything and was suspended for a few months for the constant brawling.

His father didn't want James to be behind from his education and hired a tutor that lasted for a few months. But after meeting her, his life changed little by little.

Since their first month together, she was considered his only friend. Aside from his cousins - he truly was never attached to anybody until he met her. But soon after he was introduced to her small group of friends and was immediately sucked into the circle. He even met the love of his life in the process of meeting every single friend she introduced.
But because of their influence, James was determined to go back to school under the counseling of their friends.

"Remember what she said though? There's nothing wrong with you, or what you've done. And you are not your father. This is a good opportunity to do what you WANT to do - not what your parents want."

Most of the friends he made were older than him, including his tutor that graduated highschool. There are certain days where he feels he's been left behind but the feeling subsided as soon as he finds himself in a relationship with his longtime crush, Luka. Soon after he graduated, he was admitted at a nearby (and prestigious) University and worked part time in his girlfriend's father's tailorshop.

During his studies he was given heartbroken news of his beloved friend, his tutor, dead. Her body missing somewhere in the ocean but after months of searching, they failed to find any sort of body and accepted that she had been washed away. James found it even harder to take his classes but still managed to graduate with a double degree in social sciences and computer software. Soon after he landed a job working for a successful business, married Luka and had two beloved children.

When he thought he found happiness, he realized it didn't last very long.

"James. Everytime I look at you, I see heaven. All these years, when I was so close to death a multitude of times... I always thought you were an angel who's ready to take me. I love you"

Giving birth to their first child was already difficult enough. However, their second child, Luka's body began to fail progressively worse than it had been. Even after successfully given birth to Emmie, her body was constantly going through a chain of failures and often found herself in the hospital. And especially with her working as a Administration Member in the Prodigal, she was pushed even further to her limits - the biggest factor of stress that caused her body to fail. After five years of fighting to stay alive, she finally passed and James broke down mentally.

During those five years, he came into contact with the illusive 'Milkfather.' Using his vast knowledge from the Prodigal (with permission from Luka) he was able to communicate and find some sort of way to save his wife. However, even with Emil working endlessly to save her with the serum he created years ago, Luka passed away earlier before it had been completed.

Yet he didn't want to waste away the serum that's been made. He decided that he'd take it himself. He wanted to live as long as possible - which was Luka's wish before her passing.

"I did my best to save her too, my friend. No matter how many times I've told her to rest - it seems like she never stopped. She was just like her father. They work hard, but they don't know their limits. But I won't make excuses anymore, if you really wanted to kill me - then you will."

After her passing, he decided to outcast himself. And sought Emil for his own personal comfort - as he was there to experience it firsthand with him. But even then his companionship wasn't enough to satiate the loneliness he had developed progressively. However his heart turned sour and the ambitions taking the power of the Prodigal away and immediately went into hiding and found himself meddling into the organization's affairs for his own personal gain.

Emil never knew about his plans, neither his connections to the Prodigal. But soon he departed to join the organization out of interest towards the new leader; James's new alias, D. Vin lost all contact with Emil afterwards.

Because of D's previous experiences, he somehow understands the shift of algorithms as he was familiar with it during the days when his friend was alive. He found it easier to access files and the system used by the Overseer themselves - and easier to pinpoint her whereabouts. But even discovering her whereabouts didn't give him a single idea as to who they were. Though there wasn't enough curiosity for him to work hard enough to discover. He continued selling Prodigal information until he was personally visited by the Grandmaster.

The Grandmaster was none other than old friend of his, to his surprise. He immediately ceased all attempts into delving into Prodigal matters for his friend's safety. And in turn, he becomes a loyal partner working for organization.

He currently works side by side with the Overseer, but has not revealed himself to the overall group. He hides himself, but it's been hinted that the Overseer's torch will be passed onto him when she finally passes.

• Born in Northern California and moved south. He didn't get alone with any of his classmates and often gotten himself into fights until he got suspended for his temperamental violence.
• His parents hired a tutor, who appeared to get alone with James quite well. She was the closest friend at the time and was introduced into the circle that she spent time with almost everyday. He even fell in love with one of her other friends, Luka.
• Went off to University but stopped for a period after finding out the death of his friend. However, with the help of Luka, he persevered and landed himself a successful career. While Luka partakes as an Administration Member in the Prodigal.
• Luka and James has two children but Luka soon passes away because her body was constantly failing her. James seeks help from Emiliano Roselo, by asking him to create a serum that could possibly save her life. However, she passes before the serum was completed. He ends up taking the serum himself.
• Changes his alias to D. Vin and finds himself fiddling with the Prodigal out of his own personal gain. He sells confidential Prodigal information until he was confronted by the Overseer himself.
• D now works for the Prodigal but completely unannounced.
