The Courier's past records and previous public alia are wiped out from existence on the behalf of him and the Overseer's request. Any attempts in putting any work to finding out his background will result in possible, dangerous consequences.

Grettel would be working from home with Motto, who was out around touring with his wife and bandmates. All while he'd come visit Emery's family every once in a while to check up on them.
He planned to do this for only about two or three years. But only until his curiosity towards a phone call from an unknown number changed his life.
This whole time Ocampo thought she was dead, but to hear her voice from the otherwise of the line, he hastily found himself driving to a nearby hideout - where she was hiding away from the world. His best friend needed someone trustworthy to get her out of a predicament and escape group of dangerous men hounding the vicinity.
And the Overseer had no choice but to call him. He was there out of pure convenience but after she was lead to safety - he was given two options:
Either he never sees her again, but at least he will be relieved from the loss of his childhood friend. Or he joins her in the Prodigal. Despite that he will lose his identity, at least Gret will still be given a chance to talk to his friends, lover, and family. He gets to see his best friend, and can get anything he desired.
It took months for Regret to finalize his decision.
