A laid back and sunny guy, one of 'those two boys' along with Bernhardt among the neighborhood kids. Even though he acts clueless most of the time, he is sharper than he looks and enjoys critical thinking. A free spirit, he is always the most motivated to go on adventures.
While his house is at the south end of the town, he always seems to hang out around the north end of the town with his friends, and is always the last to go home.

General Description
A laid back and sunny guy, one of 'those two boys' along with Bernhardt among the neighborhood kids. For some reason, he's the punching bag for a lot of girls. Even though he acts clueless, he's the brain of Yoan's gang, and he's the most motivated to go on adventures. He's very supportive of his friends, often putting themselves first before himself, sometimes to worrying extremes.
If you hang around him long enough, you'll notice that he rarely ever goes home and his parents never really look for him. It seems like his home life isn't very good, but Ernest always brushes it off. He has a severe guilt complex and hides a lot of things under his sleeve (literally and figuratively). Other than Bernhardt, he has a hard time trusting people. He doesn't like talking about himself--he'd rather get to know others more!

- He moved to Zirconshire town somewhere around 7 years ago, and quickly became friends with Bernhardt despite the different personalities.
- Yoan sees him as a reliable person even though he teases her a lot. Ernest thinks Yoan has a hidden talent for leadership despite her meekness, and tries his best to support her. Praline kicks him a lot, but they're good friends and are the jokesters of the group. Meanwhile, he doesn't get along with Agatha. Agatha is jealous of him because of a very Agatha reason.
- Able to fly and having some sort of sensitivity towards magnetism, he's very good at figuring directions. He also always has a compass with him.
- He's based on canaries, hence his elliptical wing shape. He's good at agile flight at closed spaces, but since he has to beat his wings often and doesn't really glide, he can't fly for too long.
- Apparently he lives with his older brother right now. He doesn't seem to have a high opinion of his brother, either, but he gets along better with his brother than with his parents.
He's very depressed and has a bad tendency to harm himself (through a desire to punish himself). He knows this is a terrible habit, so he tries to stop and always hides his arm with long sleeves to save himself from having to explain. He always keeps up a cheerful front, and he's very good at it. He only lets his guard down with Bernhardt, and even that takes a while.
- Although he's very affable, he tends to view the bad in people first and expect the worst.
- Even though he has a chill personality, he has a lot of energy and doesn't like sitting still.
- Him and Praline are the mouthpiece of the group, as the ones who can actually talk to people.
- He really likes corn. Boiled, roasted, popcorn, he loves 'em corn.
- Has two little beauty marks near each other at the back of his neck, resembling a snake bite mark.
- If he has a voice actor, it would probably be Toshiyuki Toyonaga for Japanese and Max Mittelman for English.
