Personality

Reuben is the classic calm and stoic-like individual who is merciless to his foes. When he is with others (especially with those unfamiliar to him) only talks when necessary and roughly mumbles one liners.  His hard-to-approach and taciturn demeanor belie a sincerely kind and loyal man. Dayes occasionally lets his feelings emerge through subtle gestures and quips to his enemies, revealing shreds of self-confidence and cockiness. He often prefers a more lonesome time to himself, where he finds them soothing and even more enjoyable with music around. Usually when any music is absent, Reuben finds himself humming a little tune.
Yet there is a surprisingly friendly side of him. Especially when he finds himself getting pampered and well-fed, he shows his more sincere smiles to show his gratuity. Food in general, Reuben allows himself to show more expressive faces whenever he's about to it.

If given a mission, there's no shock that he'll put all of his effort into it. He won't hesitate to sacrifice himself and use himself as a shield to protect others. Caring little for personal gain and possessing an indomitable presence, many admires his bravery in return.

The story

Reuben doesn't remember a single thing about himself, even the man that hired him one time, an information broker, has nothing about him aside from his abilities. However, Dayes doesn't mind it one bit and allows the rest of his days as a loyal individual who continues to protect lives and caring very little about his own moral values.

Since the day he woke up and found himself not remembering as to what and why he became a man with very fast-recovering abilities, he just looked around for jobs that no regular human could possibly survive him. Reuben is used to feeling danger creeping behind him, he rarely feels any sympathy to his own well being.
Until he was scouted by a young man and a brutish older gentleman, he now finds himself working for the both of them as long as they please. He's only somewhat grateful for their kind and hospitality by inviting him to their homes and even pampering his ruffled lifestyle, but once the contract with them ended and he'd realized that he was not needed anymore. He left that home, waiting for someone needed him the most, now a wandering stray dog in the night, whom especially has a hard time looking for a place to sleep.

Eventually he stumbled upon an flashy looking fella, who had been searching for Mr. Dayes for a good bit, now asking for a contract to be made as his personal bodyguard. What he didn't expect was that his client was a good man who's trying to escape the past that's trying to catch up, who enjoyed pampering the old dog for his amusement. He struggles whether it was work attaching himself to Liam, and the feelings for him become apparent. But what happens after the contract ends? Would his time with him stop there? Will Liam feel the same?

• Dayes is typically hard to find, but he's always in the same city.
  > His job is through contracts as an abled-bodied man; usually someone who can perform anything physical. Though, most of his jobs are much more dangerous than most.
  > Can only be found during the night time.
• Reuben is a human modified to where all of the wounds he gets would be healed in a very short amount of time.
  > There are no scars on his body whatsoever
  > Always using himself as a physical shield for those that he needs to protect - no armor whatsoever.
• Loves to eat donuts, always having it with a cup of coffee.
  > His current clients always gets him a box of donuts every day, just to get him up during the morning.
  > Prefers to drink his coffee with no creamers - preferably all black.
  > Favorite kind of donut varies on his mood. Sometimes he'll eat donuts.
  > Always seems upset if he's out of donuts.
• He is homeless.
  > Depending on the client that hires him, then he is given a room with a bed or a bathroom to live in until the contract ends. ...Or at least he hopes that he's given a room.
  > If he were to sleep anywhere when he's not under a contract, he'll be somewhere sleeping on a park bench.
• Earns a very good income considering the types of jobs he accepts. However, most of his money goes to food... and weapons. Rarely any to spare for a place to call his own home.
• Anything involving food gets his attention.
• Diners during the night time are his favorite past-times, especially when he's alone. He refrains from going any popular restaurant areas as they're too noisy for his ears.
• Likes the idea of being pampered and petted.
• (NSFW) Dayes could also finds himself being used for more personal reasons - as his body rarely leaves scars, he is used to being one's plaything. Reuben likes to be called a mutt, or a dog often during these situations.

  > Rarely dances, and if given the opportunity, he's quite bad at it. Very stiff.
• Prefers to be kept warm.
  > Covers himself in layers of blankets when he's sleeping

  > Rarely leaves the house without his coat.

  > Has well hidden stashes all throughout the city with all the weapons he's bought. 
  > All weapons he has are majorly expensive, but also quite useful in combat.

Relationships

Liam  [ Current Client, Boyfriend? ]

Most of the contracts he accepted were often short-ended or Reuben diligently finished his tasks much sooner than they've expected. But after Liam found him, it's been a long while since he's had a contract that lasted more than just... a few days. Reuben currently lives in his abode as he is tasked to personally protect Liam from particular individuals he's been affiliated with in the past. But Liam's constant pampering and oddly... inhuman character, Reuben felt rather comfortable by his side (and he wishes it'll last much longer than the intended contract period). What surprised Dayes even more, was the fact that Liam is the owner of a ever-growing bakery, cafe chain in the city. Reuben is rather happy to be spoiled with the offering of coffee and sweets.

D.Vin  [ Previous Client ]

D was an former client that Reuben worked for a long period of time. His time working against and then with the Prodigal was an interesting time, but more importantly he thought he was living comfortably in his home the whole time. However, once the contract ended, he was given the choice to leave to stay as his personal body, but Reuben decided to leave him in the end. He'd only realize that being the third man into the relationship between D and his partner Emil would be disruptive in the long run.

Vermilion  [ Former Client | Friend? ]

It was short, but Agent Scarlet is a man he worked with - one of the very few clients that he enjoyed working with. Aside from constantly speaking and eating food from several restaurants, Reuben was hired by Ken as his bodyguard to help him out acquiring a few materials and weapons - all of them involved very dangerous journeys that needed necessary protection. The only reason why Dayes left this job was because Ken stopped his weapons dealing business and Reuben had no reason to stay any longer. Every once in a while Vermilion would contact him and take him out for lunch whenever he's in town. Now that Vermilion still continues the weapons-trading business with his little brother, Reuben does come by every once in a while with the funds so he can pick up a few rounds, guns, knives... or two of em each.

Hamlet [ Rival ]

Hyde hates a man he can't punch and leave a bruise on their skin. In this case, this regenerative healing super soldier is the kind of man Hamlet hates quite clearly. During the case where D. Vin had tried his chance on figuring out who the Grandmaster is, he sent over Reuben to charge right in but was intercepted by Hamlet. Unfortunately Hamlet was fighting a losing battle against Dayes, and he always becomes sour whenever he hears Reuben's name during a conversation.
