Personality

Telesto is a modest knight. They are polite with everyone they meet and treats them with respect. They do their best to keep the peace between others as well as tend to their needs. Whether it'd be those visiting Telesto from home or going out to a store or restaurant, they insist of giving hospitality to others because they simply want to, not to expect anything necessarily in return. This puts Telesto at risk for being submissive towards those they share close and trusted bonds with. Stubborness could get in the way of Telesto looking after themselves first before treating others. It leaves room for others to try and take advantage of their kindness. Telesto isn't a doormat for everyone to wipe their feet on however, as they know when they have to put their foot down. People who are compulsively dishonest, cheaters, and show no concern for others are not tolerated by Telesto. If those kind of people refuse to change for the better, they have no worth being called a true friend. Cutting ties with toxic people is still something they continue to struggle with, as they firmly believe there's a good side to everyone. The guilt that comes with the idea abandoning others like that can get the better of them.

On the surface they are simply a generous and considerate alien. They make for an attentative listener, empathising with others and making sure people are comfortable and well cared for being around them. If any little thing turns out to go wrong or cause inconvenience, Telesto internally spirals into anxiety. They don't like witnessing hostility or pain inflicted upon others, which only makes them more anxious if they can't act upon resolving these issues right away. Even at that, while normal people would consider troublesome moments as water under the bridge, Telesto brews up a list of possible worries to fret over throughout the day. They know how they think is irrational, but they believe they ought to be vigilant and mentally prepare themselves for anything harmful that could happen to themselves or others. They don't share these anxieties with others as they don't wish for others to end up worrying over them, wanting to preserve their happiness. Energy would be scrapped to mask smiles and assure others that they're fine. Being called out bluntly for their false behavior would only make them feel worse.

Telesto merely has a handful of people they can confide with on a more personal level to manage the stress. Upon opening up to them, they reveal to be more emotionally sensitive, something they feel they have to hide from others out of shame. Their fascination of Earth, outer space, and the beauty of nature awakens their artistic outlooks on life and helps ease away the anxieties of the rest of the world. They talk with passion over things that interest them, which could lead them to get carried away sometimes. Stories, memories, and gifts from loved ones are treasured, leaving strong feelings of sentiment towards them. Telesto may have accomplished their dream of residing on planet Earth, but life just doesn't stop there. They wish to continue spreading kindness to all the Earthlings that reside there.

History

Telesto was born from the fusion of two supernovas. They were one of the many other Novies selected by the royal family to be taken in and raised as a guardian to protect their monarchy and their realm. The king had superiorly high expectations in which his guards should behave. Their actions were solely made for the king. There were consequences for making selfish actions or not thoroughly following his orders. Recruits were led by more experienced guards outside the castle and demonstrated what punishments would await them if they disobeyed. New guards were forced to watch these public punishments to withstand expressing empathy to wrong doers. They spend the majority of their days under consecutive training. They were made to rehearse marching in sync, learn to fight with and without their powers, and act under their code of chilvary. Guards were expected to receive about as much respect as from the king, as they are the ones who protect their realm from the Stelites.

Life under a wealthy roof was pleasant at the start. Before they even became a guard, Telesto was assigned to be one of the king's chefs to prepare food for the guards and the royal family. Enormous feasts and banquets were held on holidays and special occasions regarding the king. When a kitchen utensil needed to be replaced or was damaged, Telesto's metal-bending abilities would fix or remake whatever was needed. From there, they were promoted to become a blacksmith and provide stronger armor and weapons for their guards and troops. It was at some point during a small war where Telesto was chosen to be a guard for the castle while former guards have been nominated to engage in combat. Telesto was 22 years old when they were taken outside the castle's doors and watched an execution up front for the first time.

The new recruits were assembled to march in line and make their way to town square one day. They circled around a young Novi hoisted up by two guards. Their feet touched the ground, but their legs hung limp like they refuse to stand. The crowd watches anxiously behind. The young Novi was convicted of putting their guardian to a deep sleep they will never wake up from. A third-degree murder, the king proclaimed. In one fell swoop the guards tore the Novi's clothes to pieces, leaving shame the only thing covering their body. Telesto was one of the guards ordered to watch the demonstration as a few stepped out of line with clubs or batons in their hands. They swarmed at the young one like a pack of ferocious dogs, unleashing angry battle cries as they thrusted their weapons at their naked body. With every pound, Telesto watched the guards raise their blood-stained weapons in the air for another strike. Their gaze was still as stone, but it felt as if their own was being pulvarized with every blow the guards struck down at the little Novi, whose cries for mercy died down to pleas for death. The guards stepped away from the barely breathing creature for the rest of the public to see. If this was the way the people of the Novian Realm are going to be deciplined, Telesto did not want a part of it. The dying body that was left alone at the end of the day deserved a better life. That first step they took was to abandon the apethetic lifestyle as a royal guard.

Telesto fled from the castle in the middle of the night. They discarded their iron armor to ordinary garnments as they carefully made their way back to the town square. They found the young Novi lying there in the same position as the aliens left them. They wrapped the little one with their cape and carried them to their new home. They had learned the Novi was named Mimas when the wounded Novi was able to speak. Telesto was cautious of anyone that suspected where she has gone and took measure to make sure Mimas was taken care of under their watch. It would cost days without eating or sleeping, as they were constantly worried and checking up on her day and night. Once Mimas recovered, they committed themselves to be her new guardian. Together, they shared a dream of leaving their home planet to go to Earth, a promising and welcoming planet for them to win their freedom and fulfill dreams they could not fulfill in Saturn. On assassination day, Telesto said their last goodbye to the king they once served, summoning an army of golden knights to erase the royal family's reign.
