Chiara grew up in an orphanage, moving from foster home to foster home throughout her childhood. Chiara was a model child; responsible, respectful, and hard-working; however, none of the families she stayed with wanted to adopt her. She stayed in the system until she was old enough to file for independence, finding a job proving to be difficult due to being homeschooled. It came to be that she was stuck living on the streets of Waekefield, until she found a job at a shady corner store through another homeless individual. She was rarely paid or given any sort of reward for her work, but whatever she was given she took gratefully, and saved whatever she could.
She opened and closed, trying to work twice as hard to earn whatever pay she could, until one night she couldn't take it anymore. The last night she closed, she thought would be her last, until she met Davey. Davey was a Labrador-retriever mix, who she owes her life to, and still talks about to this day. Adopting Davey was the greatest decision she had ever made, and always tells her friends that. Davey saw her get an amazing job, pay for her fist doctor visit, as well as his second vet visit (The first was paid for by her boss), and even her very first house.
After a wonderful ten years together, Davey was laid to rest after a long battle with intestinal cancer. It was the hardest things she had ever had to do, and didn't feel as if she could live without him. Her depression became worse, and her boss begged her to move to Firefly Valley, as he wholeheartedly believed the change of pace would bring her the peace she deserved and needed... And it did. After moving to the valley, Chiara was able to heal from her grief, her love for Davey pushing her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. After graduating, she had landed a job as a vet technician in Pine Ridge, where she gets to see all different kinds of pets, and care for them in hopes that she can help save the lives of some in the name of her beloved Davey. Despite the job being a bit tough, especially considering she had been in the position many pet owners find themselves in at the clinic, she does the best she can to care for her patients as if they were her own pets. Overall, Chiara has found a new meaning in life, and she does it all for the dog who saved her when she needed it most.

When at work, Chiara wears scrubs with yellow labs/retrievers on them.
Chiara's favorite thing to do at work is clipping dog's nails.
Chiara is very humble, so any clothes she gets she wears.
Chiara does her best work when completely exhausted.
Chiara is very partial to dogs over people, especially dogs. She cannot help but want to love up on all of the good boys and girls she comes across at work and when out on the town.

Cinna was one of the first people Chiara met after moving to the valley, the two connecting immediately over their love for animals and passion for helping others. Chiara loves how open and accepting Cinna is, and admires her ability to push forward despite the obstacles in her way. Two two confide in each other quite a bit, and Cinna was one of the biggest reasons Chiara has found closure.

Dakota and Chiara had both just recently moved to the valley after losing someone important to them, so the two had became fast friends and found comfort in knowing they weren't alone in their grief. The two will meet up after Chiara leaves work, cooking to their hearts content and stuffing their faces full with sweets all the while.

Chiara loves visiting Lumira and her glow worms, especially after the more tough days at work. The glow worms always make her happy, and Lumira's presence is quite calming for her. Most of the time they just sit in silence and watch the little crawlies, but every now and then they will share a few words or make some worthwhile small talk.
