Usually the more introspective of her friend group, Annika usually isn't the first person to stand out in a crowd. It takes a while for her to find the courage to voice her opinions, and because of this, she is usually taken advantage of because no one expects her to complain. In the right situation, though, she finds it hard to find a filter, and might let an inappropriate remark slip out. She often acts without thinking or coming up with a detailed plan, but questions her motivations in the thick of a situation. She struggles with doing the "right" thing, or even understanding what the word "right" even means.

Though Annika hates sitting around and doing nothing, she also longs for stability. It doesn't matter where it comes from, though--a moment of peace, just hanging out with friends, she treasures any moment that makes her feel like she lives a normal life--even though she doesn't. Annika views herself as an permanently unredeemable figure, and is in the school of belief that the ends justify the means. Though she may hesitate to do something she thinks as immoral, ultimately, the cause she stands for is more important than her desires.

As a kid, Annika wasn't anything special. A quiet, unremarkable student, no one really paid her much attention, save for her best friends, Logan and Rachelle. Living through the Uprising, Annika and her friends idolised the crime lords running Dynasty the way most would look up to famous athletes or artists. They didn't grasp the fact that these people were the criminals tearing their city apart. One day, the trio found the base of one of Dynasty's notorious crime bosses and tried to take a peek. They were easily caught by one of his underlings and beaten within an inch of their lives. None of them were the same carefree children they had been mere hours before.

Shaken by the violence they'd experienced, the group vowed to end the Uprising themselves. They had no idea of the damage the gangs were causing--at least, not to the extent they thought. Annika, Rachelle, and Logan started their own gang, the Probitors, with the mission to fight crime. Though they were barely teenagers, they began recruiting their fellow classmates and neighbours to their cause. The years passed, and word of the Probitors had spread. Being a full-time crime fighter was tough, and the trio dropped out of school, which wasn't an uncommon occurance in their neighbourhood.

Due to Annika's anemia, her hands shook too much to properly hold a gun. She dedicated herself to learning how to fight with her fists instead, getting their targets just close enough to death so that someone else could pull the trigger. She became more commanding, more powerful, stronger... or at least, that's what she thought. As the years went by, Annika questioned whether she was really doing any good. Was she actually making a difference, or was she just part of another group fighting for territory and noteriety? She lie awake at night, her stomach swirling with anxiety. She had never stopped to really consider the person she had become, and she didn't like what she saw. And yet, she wasn't sure if she could ever escape the narrow path she'd laid out for herself...
