PERSONALITY
Can be cold and standoffish at first, Lucian's not the most trusting person and it takes him a while to warm up to new people. Some folks may feel like they're walking on eggshells as they get to know him.
Can be short tempered and hot-headed, projects these moods by being a sassy arsehole.
Quick to learn little nuances of each team member which he often uses to wind up colleagues.
Stubborn and driven; tell him he can't do something something and he'll prove you wrong out of spite.
Cool in a crisis and good at improvising and has a knack for troubleshooting. "Take this to the IT techs that are paid to deal with this shit, stop coming to me." May try to take over if he sees someone in charge getting flustered over something he thinks has an obvious solution.
Practical and action orientated, likes hands-on work. Quick to become irritated and bored when there's not much variation in the work or there's nothing to do. This can affect his relationships to a degree.
Also results orientated, easily discouraged if he sees nothing for his efforts right away.
Prone to snapping over trivial things when tired.

- Likes heavy metal Especially 80's metal. He digs most forms of rock too. The louder and thrashier the better.
- DISLIKES FEELING REDUNDANT Likes to feel like he's done a day's work otherwise it can have a negative impact on his self-esteem.
- HOBBY IS PLAYING GUITAR Lucian's completely self-taught and learnt through imitation and online video tutorials.
HABITS
- GOOD AT PRIORITIZING Has a knack for good time management but once he's got plans set slight changes can throw him off.
- SWEARS LIKE A SAILOR It's a stress coping mechanism so Lucian's use of profanity is a good indicator of his current mood.
- EATS A LOAD OF JUNK FOOD Tries to be healthy but all his veggies end up deep fried or on a pizza. He blames it on a crap mess hall.
TRIVIA
- Army veteran; Lucian worked as an Armoured Engineer and did the minimum 4 years before mustering out, in this time he was deployed twice to active war zones. Lucian joins the Army as a rating the moment the thought enters his head. He thought it might offer the sort of challenge and job satisfaction he's looking for. It does for a while but then he sees his friends killed in firefights and the impact it's having on locals with no real endgame Lucian grows very uncomfortable and despondent with the job.
- Has odd little moments where he looses his grip on things and becomes frustrated enough to punch a wall. Openly acknowledges he has these outbursts, also accepts the possibility it's undiagnosed PTSD at play but won't get a diagnosis his reasoning being I don't have it as bad as some.
- Stays on base during winter months when the weather's too bad for any kind of flying to happen, hasn't gotten round to looking for a place in Aylos yet. Probably never will, doesn't like the idea of leaving the property for a long time and finds the moderate climate of Stavjo more pleasant.
- Drinks a gross amount of coffee (probably the reason why there's often only decaff left). Known to snack on chocolate coated espresso beans.
- Gains weight after mustering out of the Army because he's not being hammered by PT every day. He does try to exercise frequently and it is helping (somewhat) but Lucian's busy with maintaining the aircraft and keeping on top of his social life that he struggles to keep up a regular training regime.
- Very sensitive to spice, can't eat anything more spicy than a chicken corma or he ends up ill.
- Pretty avid reader. Likes a good murder mystery or military drama, also has a weak spot for sci-fi.
- Lucian's been playing guitar for long enough he can learn songs by ear. He plays both bass and electric guitar, practices more with bass but prefers the sound of electric. He's most proud of learning to play AC/DC's Thunderstruck. he still slips a few cords but he covers it pretty well. He's low key involved in a band on the air base that covers various rock/metal songs. They're great if you're drunk enough.
