Morirtl, now known as Blackwind exclusively, is the older brother of Leto. Before Leto and Blackwind were separated as entities, they were together in form, making Kingsrender (a whole new Elxin, a whole new identity, as most Elxin are prone to doing when combining spirits). They razed worlds and created massive havoc just because they could, hardly taking in bounty other than the enjoyment of hunting easy prey.
They both were subsequently punished for their crimes within the Elxin jury, and this is why Leto does not retain his memories or disposition whatsoever. Instead, Blackwind got the brunt of the punishment- as the Elxin council saw into his soul that he was the darker of the two.
Blackwind was banished and stripped of his major powers, yet held all the memories of what had transpired, left within a realm that he had tortured for centuries- all to be a part of his ruin. 

His cleverness and cruelty has kept him alive enough to survive... However, he does not thrive like he used to, and never will. At best he can traverse across the planets of the realm, though this realm is not one he was acquainted with when so carelessly raiding it. He has learned much, but it still stings to him that it is useless information, compared to what he previously had done.

Overall, Blackwind is a callous individual who cannot be trusted, nor does he make any demands to be treated kindly. He still holds intense greed, though is relegated to the bare minimum, and this causes him to come off even more sharp than when he is contented.

• Avarice of mortal life has clearly tainted his appearance, a crystalline form running along his right side (along with blackened fur underneath the crystals)-- it is not as delicate as it appears.
• His wings are optional, however the rest of his odd appearance is NOT optional. 
• There are times he still hungers for other energy sources, such as flame and oil, but he can no longer properly digest these things (as he has learned)...
