- Jestress Singel is a member of the Dark Siders and mainly serves as the voice of reason in the group. Whenever Vlad does something unreasonable she's usually the first one to call him out on his bullshit. She is also a staff wielding magician. She can fly and use various magic powers from her magical staff. Despite the nickname given to her, she's quite serious minded and has a very short temper. She represents the sin of Wrath in the Dark Siders
- Despite her aggressive demeanor, Jestress is very caring for her teammates (well, all of them except for Vlad). Since they're the only family she has, Jes tries to make sure that they're all safe and okay. She kind of takes on the motherly role in the team, making sure they all stay in line and keeps Vlad in check.
- Jestress may look pretty and delicate, but she's actually an active volcano that can explode at any moment. Jestress has a bit of an issue controlling her anger and it can have some devastating effects. Her temperament also affects the power of her psychic ablities as well, so oftentimes Vlad actually prefers Jestress to be pissed rather than calm.
- With her staff, Jestress can create force fields, control objects/other peoples bodies and can lift them off the ground, as well as shoot out powerful psychic energy that can cause explosions.
When she began enrollment in Draemon Academy, she was teased by her peers for being her dolls with her to school and talking to them. This made Jestress angry and she began researching dark magic to get revenge. After a few magic sessions, she began to realise how highly gifted she was in the dark arts and began abusing her schoolmates and servants with them for her sick pleasure. MAny of the townsfolk feared her and called her a witch. At 13, Jestress experienced the revenge of the townsfolk as they attempted to trap and burn her which then Jestress retailiated where she released demons from a spellbook upon the town. Since dark magic is highly illegal in Asumara, the Asumarian police took the offense seriously. They told her parrents that Jestress would be sent to a correction school where magic is nullified and forbidden. Then the enraged Jestress blew up and used her dark magic powers to escape thier clutches. SHe ran away from home, only taking her favorite doll with her.
She ran away to the Kreanre Highlands, a place for dark art practicioners and found a place in a creepy traveling gothic circus at age 14. SHe performed as a trapeeze artist and a magician in the circus for 4 years. During that time, Jestress began to reflect back on the things that she did and started to see her wrongdoings. A friend of her's from the circus troope named Bellbell, an enchanted marionette doll, served as her emotional supporter and consultant. Jestress told her that she felt guilty and wanted to return back to her homeland to apologise, but the Ringmaster prevented her from leaving the circus. He told her that she was under contract and that the performers are not allowed to leave unless the circus goes bankrupt. When Jestress turned 18, the circus traveled far until they reached the continent of Zathurek. This is when Vlad and Kieth happened to stumble upon the circus, for they were looking to expand the Dark Siders with more members since it was just them; particularly a female member and a magic user. So of course they, well okay maybe just Vlad, would take advantage of the opportunity that a gothic circus was in town and hopefully steal, I mean, recruit some of thier performers.
Vlad and Keith bought tickets to the circus show and awkwardly joined in with the crowd of gothic emos. During showtime, Vlad was actively scouting out for potential members among the performers and the one that stood out to him the most was Jestress. After the show was done and everyone went backstage, Jestress confessed to Bellbell that she began to feel more resentful of her ringmaster and had a desire to be more free. And coincidentally Vladmir was eavesdropping in. The sneaky little shit then snuck into the circus train caboose that contained the ringmaster's life savings and destroyed the gold coins with his lazergun, knowing that without the money, the ringmaster could not afford to keep his performers and had to let them go. After the ringmaster found out that he lost all of his money, he dismissed all of his performers. Vlad hastily jumped at the chance to recruit Jestress. He tried to use his terrible flattery and suave persuasion skills to get her to to join him. Seeing as she had no where else to go, she reluctatantly joined him. It wouldn't be long till she would totally regret that decision.
In the Dark Sider's early years, Jestress saw Keith as a break from all the insanity, as he seemed to be the only level headed teammate at the time, and so they relied on each other for mutual support. During this time, she did harbor some romantic feelings for him, but got over it quickly when she realized she preferred to see Keith with Sky instead.
The bane of her existence. Jestress regretted joining Vlad's team immediately when she realized how insane he was. They would fight constantly, but with no where else to go, Jestress felt trapped. Over time however, she seemed to find positives in her new life provided by Vlad, but of course, she would still continue to put him in his place if he crossed the line.
Jestress was already a secret fan of Sky's music even before he had joined or known of the Dark Siders. So when she realized he'd be joining them, her inner fangirl was overjoyed. It was only amplified when she realized the reason was because of his relationship to Keith. She often can't help but get flustered in his prescence.
Jestress has an aversion to most children, but she seems to play a "big sister" role with Anita. She will often help Sky take care of her and even sometimes play with her as well. She also has a strong connection to her as the only other female on the team, even if they may disagree on things from time to time.
Jestress has always been off put by Gorgen's appearance, but eventually she came to see him as sort of a family member. She tries to make sure Vlad doesn't overwork or abuse him.
Jestress always had a fondness for animals, but often found Blietrah to be too much of a handful. She does recognize his importance to Anita though, so she will sometimes make an attempt to bond with him, though Blietrah usually finds no interest.
