Sjen was born in the Tribal Confederation of Sveyinssier.At the age of 4, Sjen immigrated to Astnen Empire with her parents, who found work there. She has a younger brother named Seyann, who stayed behind in Sveyinssier.
Sjen joined primary school at five, but dropped out and was homeschooled by her parents after a series of unfortunate events caused by political and social unrest.
When she was six, her parents went back to Sveyinssier for an emergency, during which the Equalist Revolution overturned the Imperialist government of Astnen and borders were closed. Sjen was separated from her parents for the next ten years, and was adopted by a Crane named Lawinar after her neighbourhood, a revolutionary-leaning area, was razed with fire by Imperialists forces.
They lived in a ghetto in the Capital during the fiercest days of the Revolution, during which Lawinar grew to bond with Sjen. Right after the revolution, Lawinar joined the Air Force of the newly founded nation.
During this time of patriotic atmosphere, Sjen decided to follow in her new guardian's footsteps and find a meaningful job to help the nation, so she enlisted in the Internal Army (Polarmina), a police-military combined force which protected the Capital and other main cities.
Sjen worked well, and soon rose to a high rank. Having a good, steady income, she funded herself for future study and was able to go through university and earn a good degree in art while serving in the Polarmina, being a writer, artist, and poet from childhood.
Eventually, the Great Leader Niero noticed her and promoted her to the rank of Commander of the Polarmina, after which she worked closely with the leaders of the revolution such as Niero, Linwu, and Torudo.
A member of the National Art Troupe, Sjen also learned to dance and play music, and lent a paw with the People's Artist Aokui in the composing of Astnen's National Anthem.
As time went by, Sjen began to realize how corrupt and inept the Equalist Party really was, and as tyranny grasped the nation, she joined an age-old organization of Vigilantes.
History repeats itself, and when her adopted mother Lawinar left the Capital to visit her relatives, the Purges struck home, and Sjen was targeted and falsely accused of corruption. Terrified by the sudden advent of evil and lies, Sjen became very distressed about life.
During this time of fear and anxiety, Sjen adopted the orphan Maolina, just as she had been adopted by Lawinar. Maolina was a mute Cat, whose (also) adopted mother had fled after she was denounced by the Party, and Sjen grew to be close friends with her through the speech of music, which they both loved.
Sjen liaised with her close friends and fellow Vigilantes Ri, Saeva, and Athcasiun to save the wrongly accused and to work for a free Astnen. With strong support from her mentor Tayn, and Chai, her Guardian Spirit, Sjen grew to be staunchly unwavering for the cause of Truth.
After an unfortunate series of events, including the wooing from a shaman, her execution of her rival Nil, the accidental killing of police chief Ecuire, and falling under the suspicion of the Great Leader, she was sentenced to death and fled with barely her life back to Sveyinssier, where her brother Seyann was involved in a civil war between the two divided regions of Sveyinssier.
Distressed but undaunted from falling out of the frying pan into the fire, Sjen threw all her energy into fighting for reunification, and lived to see her dreams fulfilled.
With peace reigning once more in Sveyinssier, Sjen finally reunited with her parents, who had lived in the far North since the beginning of the Civil War. She met Ansin, a hero wounded by war, and they grew to be the best of friends. Ansin soon proposed to her, and they were wedded.
Disaster fell again in Sjen's tragic life, and Ansin was called to the North immediately after their wedding ceremony for a mission, during which his team met a storm on the high seas and they disappeared. Grieved by the loss of her husband, Sjen became depressed and joined the Sveyinssier police force, hoping that focusing on work would ease her stress.
The next few years saw peace, prosperity, war, and victory for Sveyinssier. New friends were made, old friends such as Lawinar were re-met, former enemies like Stengrin were turned into friends, and Sjen gradually let go of her sorrow.
In a misunderstanding during a military conflict, Sjen was assumed to have committed treason and exiled to the deserts in the far south.
While on exile, her brother Seyann, now the Leader of the Sveyinssier Federation, informed her that the High Court had found her innocent and had a mission for her. Gladdened, Sjen and her new allies made in the desert hastened to catch some spies and prevent a destroying of Sveyinssier's military bases. It was successful, and Sjen returned a hero.
For many years, Sjen worked hard in the security forces and Sveyinssier became the safest nation in the world.
She lived to see more times of prosperity and also more wars, but hardened, she no longer felt fear of evil nor lies. With her close friends, such as Neslan, Cem, Singuri, Aisy, and Bitmin, Sjen went on new missions and learned much wisdom and knowledge.
Her life was crowned with bliss when she was reunited with Ansin later on a field of war, on which died together. |
