Reas Arandai

Cold, calculating, and fiercely intelligent, Reas is well-known by most people who pay attention to politics on Invidia, and is practically revered in the north for her efforts towards making the city of Noxi - as well as the rest of the continent - cleaner and "more deserving" of D-SEC. She is a solitary kind of person who finds little need for forging healthy relationships with others, and has little care for others' feelings, although she seems to tolerate and even sometimes enjoy the presence of her co-worker, Selby, and her secretary, Kostya. She has no sense of humor and a lot of it goes over her head, as she is prone to taking things literally.

Reas Arandai is one of D-SEC's three head-executives, which makes her one of the most powerful people on Invidia. She rose to power from an unknown station, recommended for the position by the previous Executive of Noxi; ever since being hired as an Executive, she has more than earned her place and is arguably the most successful of the three head-Executives Reichard has hired. Presiding over the Black City of Noxi, some things that she has done in her time include the significant boost in productivity for her city, the recommendation for Selby to be hired, and the mass cleanup of the slums in Noxi (which has substantially boosted morale, decreased the threat of crime, and has made the city cleaner). Even so, the tactics by which she does these things is a bit of a mystery, although nobody tries to pry too deeply.

Reas is an important character in Time of Death, as she is one of the three major D-SEC Executives and is in charge of the city of Noxi, a place of many secrets and turmoils.

Her goal is uncertain for the majority of the story, but her actions directly impact the plot in many ways.
