Human embodiment of awkwardness. He likes being around people, but often just doens't know how to fit in, even though he tries. Usually he's just that quiet guy standing on the side and not talking much; almost invisible until he decides to join in the conversation. Théo needs to feel he's a part of community - it doesn't need to be a big part, but he wouldn't stand being excluded, that's why he adapts, often mimicing general behaviours and worl outlook of the group and silencing his own.
Rather carefree, leaves all his school assignments for later, and when that "later" comes, he's always panicking and blames himself for poor time management, but in the end he gets it done. Not the sharpest tool in the shed and he always struggled with science in school, but he's really creative and thinks out of the box.
Easily moved by a lot of things, starting with Christmas commercials and finishing on homeless people on the street.
Background
Théo was born as the first (and only) child of Joanne and Baptiste Beaumonts - very work-focused lawyers, working in an employment and labour field. He inherited his magic skills from his mom, who's a fire mage, which she always kept as a secret, living as an ordinary human and not mentioning it to her fiance even after their wedding. Joanne knew there will be a day, when she will have to tell him everything - because of magic, her body didn't age as the human one, but as the time went by, the idea of spilling the truth was less and less appealing. And yet, years of delusions and hiding her true identity, edned with her firstborn.
Like every mage, Théo was born acoompanied by his element - water. It happened rather unexpectedly, almost three weeks eary, when the couple was visiting their friend's yacht in Marseille, taing part in rather boring but necessary social event. The weather changed drastically, storm appeared out of nowhere and just like that, Joanne's waters broke and she went into labor. Party was over, the doctor was called instantly and a dozen or so hours later, Théo was born, safe and sound. There was just one, tiny issue. Baptiste was rather suspicious.

Water control
Similar to water bending in Avatar. Théo doesn't need any exclamations to just make it work, since it's mostly instinct-driven. Includes all water states with ice being probably his favourite.
General magic skills
He was never the brightest and therefore, when it comes to actual spell knowledge, Théo fails rather miserably. There is a couple that he remembers, but he's not the best.
Looser attitude
Sounds silly, but it works. Usually people just don't bother with Théo being around, because they pity him or they just cut him dead. Still counts, since it sometimes gets him invitations for parties and such.

Even though they've met at the boarding school, they were far from highschool sweethearts. Théo hestitated for a long time before finally confessing his feelings and was rejected more than once in the process with Ian finally admitting his own feelings after the school was over and they've been already living together as friends. He's the only person that can make Théo stand his own ground and be more assertive and even though Ian is usually a massive dickhead for everyone around him, he can be really sweet and caring toward his husband. And probably a bit overprotective.
