Blackie is not the sharpest tool in the shed. She dropped out of school and lives with her foster family. Having grown up in the forest, she has a difficult time adjusting to society and social structure. She took up art as a way to escape from a difficult reality. She has a very active imagination, which has led to the creation of a universe that exists within her mind, which she can only access in her sleep. When she is awake, her dream self becomes Soot, a placeholder. She is not aware of this happening.

| Bonnie | Bonnie, or Brownie as Blackie calls her, acts less like an adoptive mother and more like an adoptive sister. |

| Fiye | Fiye and Blackie have a rocky relationship. On one hand, Blackie is aware that Fiye is a manifestation of her real life Fiyepod (ipod) and likes to play with him. Fiye, on the other hand, has a poor grasp of emotional awareness and does not hide his clear love for Blackie. The second anything romantic comes up, Blackie bails and leaves him in the dust. Soot, however, doesn't mind this and hangs out with Fiye a lot. (So from Blackie's perspective, she leaves this guy behind, wakes up, goes to sleep-- and he's there again.) |
Blackie was raised by a black panther as a kitten, and has no idea what happened to her birth parents. She loves her adoptive mother fiercely, but was unable to stay with her due to a species difference. Her mother brought her to a modern feline society, where she was taken in by her foster caregiver, Bonnie. Blackie had difficulty remembering names, opting to call her Brownie instead. Blackie then named herself Blackie. She was enrolled in a school specifically tailored to teach cats how to speak, but dropped out after a certain point. Because of this, her speech isn't exactly the best.
