Grace Redfyre

Born in Pokemon Square following an assault Redthir made on Eminent. Although she was born from hatred, Eminent gave her as much love as she possibly could. The first few years of her life were overseen by her mother, Kay, and Stark. Following a few adventures with Kay, Eminent and Grace left Pokemon Square setting off for Pokecity. The trip was long, but it was punctuated by Eminent's tales of Grace's father: Tempo. The young Eevee was extremely hopeful, she couldn't wait to meet her father, especially after all the admirable things Eminent had said about him. Unfortunately, as Eminent stared into her hopeful daughter's amber eyes she cringed internally at the lies she was spreading.

Upon arriving back in Pokecity, Eminent introduced the young Eevee to her father. Although confused, Tempo accepted that Eminent wasn't lying about such a serious event and acknowledged the daughter who he had been absent for. Grace was thrilled, finally able to meet her father and have a conversation with him. However, she felt disdain upon actually speaking to him. Something didn't feel right. She was young, but she wasn't dumb. Tempo seemed too baffled by her, and he wasn't fatherly towards her at all. She grew bitter, and through her resentment, evolved into a Leafeon.

While avoiding demons in a church, Tempo proposed to Eminent and the two were supposed to be married. Unfortunately, during the vows a Lopunny broke through the church window and sabotaged the whole wedding --- forcing Eminent and Tempo to never actually be wed. Following the attack, Grace was grabbed by her mother --- who informed them they had to leave. Confused but trusting, Grace went along with her mother and Kay and ended up back in Pokemon Square.

Back in the Square, Grace was raised alongside Kay's newborn daughter Hazelyn... with the two becoming as close as sisters. While living with Kay and Stark, Kay and Grace began talking more and Grace found out the truth about her father. She was heartbroken learning about Redthir, and she noticed how agitated Hazelyn became hearing the news. She also spoke about Eminent having another child that no one except Kay and Stark knew about. Grace was appalled, how could her mother abandon her child? It made her feel like the mother she knew was some sort of facade.

When Hazelyn was just a baby, and Grace herself was two, Eminent made an announcement. She wanted to go back. Grace was confused, not wanting to leave Hazelyn or her new life behind she insisted on staying. Grace instantly became angry with Eminent, accusing her of abandoning her just like she had done to her first child, Chishio. Eminent was shocked, unsure of how her child had learned of this information. Kay apologized, and Eminent shrugged it off --- knowing that she would've had to tell Grace eventually. Disgusted in her mother, Grace told her to leave without her. Kay went as well, kissing Stark goodbye and promising to come back.

A week passed, and there was still no sign of Kay. Grace took it upon herself to go and find her, assuming that there had just been some trouble on the way back. Upon arriving in a field however, Grace realized the worst. Stumbling across the dead body of Kay, shot by a human. There was no sign of Eminent, but Grace assumed that the humans had also found and trapped her. Hoisting the body of Kay onto her back to give her a proper burial, she took her back to her family.

Following seeing his dead wife, Stark said nothing. Excusing himself and locking himself up in his study. Hazelyn and Grace found him dead two days later. Grace and Hazelyn were now on their own, forced to raise themselves. The two girls did well, for a few years at least. At which point Hazelyn contacted her aunt Lightning, who came to pick up Hazelyn and take her to Pokeplace. Lightning told Grace that her mother was presumably also there, but Grace refused to go. Still mad at the person her mother truly was.

Years passed, and eventually Hazelyn returned. The two kept each other safe in Kay and Stark's old home, with nights punctuated with stories of Pokeplace and Eminent by Hazelyn. However, it was at this point that Grace swore something to herself. She had to find Chishio. She had to meet her sister.

In the years that followed, Grace graduated from medical school as a certified doctor and surgeon. Hazelyn got married and had a daughter. And Grace had finally gotten a lead on Chishio, that she was in Pokeplace. It was at this point Grace realized something. Maybe her mother wasn't so bad. Maybe she had returned to Pokeplace to be with her daughter. She set off on her travels, with Hazelyn fussing that she might be shot by a human or captured. She arrived safely, and immediately realized that Chishio was actually her childhood friend, Cheeky.

With this new knowledge, Grace resents Eminent even more. Knowing that her and Lakk were present all throughout Cheeky's life but let her grow up as an orphan. She feels guilty that she was the child Eminent chose to keep. Cheeky also introduced Grace to her brothers, Aisu and Hyoshi. Finally finding her real family, Grace decided to stay in Pokeplace --- especially considering they certainly had a shortage of proper doctors following the disease outbreak from the previous year. Through her work at the hospital, she met Jonas Redfyre. Jonas was a friendly Farfetch'd who happened to be the creator and leader of his band. Following a brief meeting in the hospital halls, he invited her to his band's next show. Ironically, Grace's brother, Hyoshi, was also in the band. This was the start of a budding romance between Grace and Jonas, the two of which have now gotten married and have two children together.

Due to a strange magical force, all the children at a party miraculously aged by 10 years. Grace isn't dealing well with her baby Ezra being a teenager, but at least she gets to experience Iris staying young. Presently, Grace is still happily married to Jonas and is enjoying motherhood while chasing after the elusive Chief of Staff position at the hospital. She is now the head surgeon at least, but the pay raise from chief of staff would be nice.
