Hyoshi Blade

Hyoshi was born in November of 196 to Eminent and Tempo. Following her breakup with Jake and her subsequent return to Pokeplace to discover that Lakk had passed away, Eminent had decided to return to Pokemon Square with Lightning (Kay’s Sister) and Hazelyn (Kay’s Daughter). However, as if by some miracle, Tempo wandered out of a deep cave near the small village. In the confusion, Lightning was separated from her niece and Eminent and fell into a pitfall trap designed by the Lopunny that had been worshipping Tempo as their deity. Eminent, seeing no other option --- especially because she did not want to retirn to Pokemon Square and have to face the daughter that she had abandoned, decided to begin living with Tempo inside the cave. Within the cave was a network of houses, crowded with the various Lopunny who had begun to worship “Tempopo” as their god.

Through living with the Lopunny and Tempo, Eminent found a new purpose. Although the Lopunny seemed to dislike her presence and closeness with Tempo, they did nothing to harm her. Quite the contrary, actually. The Lopunny took fantastic care of the pair and Eminent was treated like a Queen. After a month with Tempo, Eminent found herself to be growing bloated and decided to take a pregnancy test that the Lopunny had had laying around. She was shocked to discover that she was indeed pregnant after the test came back positive. Knowing it would be impossible to hide it, Eminent admitted the pregnancy to Tempo who was absolutely thrilled to know that him and Eminent would have another chance at raising a child together. Eminent however, seemed less than thrilled.

In November, the baby was born to the joy of the Lopunny and Tempo alike. A baby boy, a junior lord for the Lopunny to worship. Eminent, although unsure at first was happy to have him. She realized that this may be her true shot at redemption for raising a child and took to it with all her heart. She named the baby “Hyoshi” which quite literally meant “Tempo”, he was basically solidified as being Tempo Jr.

Hyoshi’s upbringing was happy. Tempo was a great father, going out of his way to teach his son life lessons and talk about how much he loved Hyoshi’s mother. Hyoshi grew to admire this type of love, wanting to have something similar to it when he grew up. However, little did Hyoshi or Tempo know that during their father-son bonding, Eminent was doing a little bonding of her own with Tempo’s best friend, Akira.

When Hyoshi was Six, Tempo passed away due to a prolonged infection that Eminent had caught too late to treat. Following the death of his father, Hyoshi was crushed, but he was even more crushed when the Lopunny decided to coup, throwing Eminent out of the cave and sealing the only entrance and exit so that she had no way of returning.

That was the last time Hyoshi ever saw his mother.

For the years that followed, the Lopunny took turns assaulting the young Furret. They preyed on him for sex, using him to satisfy the void that Tempo had left after he passed away. When Hyoshi tried to complain about the assaults to his Uncle Akira, he shrugged it off, talking about how sex was the best medicine. Hyoshi disliked what the Lopunny did to him, but he trusted his Uncle. He learned to love the sex, associating it with affection. As it was the only thing that he had felt that was remotely close to love for years. Hyoshi was numb to the sex, he used it to feel better… he used it to feel anything.

When Hyoshi turned seventeen and his Uncle Akira had grown frail, Akira finally gave him Tempo’s fortune --- which he had been guarding until Hyoshi was old enough. It was large, a tremendous amount of money that made Hyoshi rich in under a day. Hyoshi knew what he wanted to do first, and that was to get out of this cave. He packed the money away, taking his few belongings with him and using a Hyper Voice to escape the cave. The Lopunny pleaded for him not to leave, but he knew he had to see the world --- not to mention he was sure that the rest of the world had so many other types of girls in it.

There, in 213, Hyoshi walked into Pokemon Square, the nearest village to his settlement. The Pokemon there seemed modest and kind, but he was just a transient there. He wanted to go someplace bigger, someplace where he could see the entire world. He passed a bulletin board with various advertisements and noticed a small ad for a University up in Farlen. He knew it would be quite the trip, but he felt compelled to head over there. He caught a train in the village, going all the way up to the North, where Farlen was located.

Hyoshi enrolled a culinary program up in Farlen, hoping to gain the title of Red Seal Chef upon completion. It was a four year course, but Hyoshi felt that with the skills his father had taught him, he could excel… and he did. In 217, Hyoshi received his Red Seal certification but he found it difficult to find work with his degree. As such, he took two years off before returning to the University to take a few classes on something that interested him heavily: Genealogy.

In 219, Hyoshi had begun taking a class in Genealogy, tracing back his parent’s lineage and discovering more about his family. Through this course, he discovered a few things that piqued his interest. One, was that his mother had seemingly had two other children that he was completely unaware of. Chishio and Aisu. He had accepted at this point that his only other sibling was dead, but now it seemed that his mother had had two other children with a man named Lakk --- a name that he had heard his father mention often. Hyoshi was startled finding out this news, as well as the news that his mother had passed away sometime around 203 --- a mere year after she had left him.

In 222, determined to get answers, but driven by anger, Hyoshi made his way to Pokeplace Town, where his two siblings were presumed to be living. He found them with ease, confronting Chishio (who went by Cheeky) with rage and anger before he succumbed to a disease that was slowly plaguing the townsfolk. Him and his half brother, Aisu, were both affected by the disease. They were both rushed into the same room at the hospital, fading in and out of consciousness.

While in the hospital, Hyoshi awoke to see Zan, Aisu’s girlfriend, keeping an eye on him. Irritated, he confronted Zan, who set him straight. Hyoshi proclaimed he was jealous that his mother had left and started a new family, and how he had not known her for long. Zan explained that Aisu had never truly met his mother, and Hyoshi felt a newfound kinship to him. Following the cure being delivered, Hyoshi began a true relationship with his brother and sister.

Things were uneventful for a period after that. Hyoshi was unable to secure a chef position upon moving to Pokeplace, so he went to work on the Docks. While working on the Docks he met Jonas Redfyre, a young Farfetch’d who had hopes of starting a band. Hyoshi agreed to be his guitarist and the two formed a friendship. With his newfound status as a guitarist, Hyoshi found it easy to get women, and just as easy to have sex with them.

After a few months with the band, Hyoshi had another bombshell dropped on him: the fact that his sister, Grace, was not actually dead. Upon her arrival in Pokeplace, she was introduced to him and Aisu by Cheeky. Grace was a doctor, like their mother, and despite their freckled faces, Hyoshi learned that she was in fact only his half sister and her father was a man named Redthir. Grace sunk into Pokeplace quite easily, and even managed to steal Jonas’ heart. Although Hyoshi was a little disturbed by it at first (especially because he knew Jonas’ sexual history) he began to admire how well Jonas treated his elder sister as the two grew closer.

Hyoshi and Grace became very close after bonding about their maternal issues. They realized they had very similar interests, as well as a kinship due to being the middle children (as well as the only two children with different dads, as Grace always put it). Hyoshi would go as far as to consider Grace his best friend, and he trusts her with his life. Following the birth of Ezra, Grace and Jonas’ son, Hyoshi was named his godfather --- a title which he takes very seriously.

Although Hyoshi was once someone who would sleep around, he met a girl one day after going for palm readings with Cheeky. Her name was Mina, and Hyoshi fell for her hard and fast. The two started as casual Friends With Benefits, but slowly evolved into a fully fledged couple following the Harvest Moon Festival in 224. On that Halloween night, Mina fell victim to a curse and Hyoshi preformed a counter cure to save her life and wake her up from eternal sleep. Although the cost wasn’t fully explained to him, it is very possible that Hyoshi sold his soul to save Mina’s life.
