An alien musician who emigrated to Terra when the rift to Senti was discovered and opened as a permanent doorway between the two worlds. His voice is imbued with magic, giving him the ability to sway peoples' opinions with his music, and allowing him to perform incredible feats during his shows. He's since become incredibly popular with younger demographics, and spends most of his time touring, changing supporting bands every other year.

Very occasionally, he can be found lending his expertise on Sentan magic to the Rationale.

Personality

Ken is a very private, avoidant person, spending much of his time happily alone. While he enjoys company occasionally, he takes a long time to warm up to new people and will often abstain from participating in social events. He's usually quiet or soft-spoken, and is often buried in a tablet if forced into social situations. He'll really only engage with others if there's a topic that specifically interest him.

The exception to this is performance; Ken loves to put on a good show, and the bigger the crowd the better. His stage persona is a strong contrast to his usual behaviour: active, flamboyant, and loud. His shows are flashy, wildly choreographed affairs that often involve audience participation.

Despite his desire to be as uninvolved in the world's affairs as possible, Ken still has a strong sense of honour, and won't leave people to suffer unnecessarily. He'll avoid directly interfering unless it's impossible to avoid, but can't abandon someone in need.

Ken was born on Senti in the year 2372; a time of great upheaval in the planet's history. The three native species were involved in a war with an invading people, who desired to harvest the planet's magic for themselves. Ken and his twin sister Jae were born when the goddess Aisenn infused the souls of the dying gods Sadirn and Chiam into a quaialin egg in an attempt to preserve them.

From the start the twins were treated differently to any other quaialin. Non-identical twins had never hatched before, and it wasn't a secret why they existed. The souls they'd inherited imbued them with incredible magic powers, and they were expected to be the ones to end the war in one way or another.

This wasn't an incorrect assumption; using the magic they'd inherited, the twins destroyed the invading army's footholds and banished them back to the stars.

Immediately after the war, Ken took off into the wilderness, seeking to avoid the rest of his people for as long as possible. He lived a self sufficient life for many years, occasionally joining up with migratory quaikl bands to catch up on current events.

In 2927, a rift opened up between Senti and the beleaguered planet of Terra, the Senti side neatly contained with an old saenshi temple. The saenshi helped stablise the portal, and researchers from the Rationale travelled through to establish a research post. In exchange for being allowed to settle the temple grounds, the Rationale allowed a group of Sentan natives to travel to Terra to live in exchange; Ken made sure he was in the initial group, desperately hoping for something new to spend his time on.

His answer came after meeting Lexi, a popstar fennec who was fascinated by the power of his singing voice and his ability to mimic even mechanical sounds. She encouraged him to take up a career in singing and songwriting, and helped boost him up into the public eye with collab album.

Current Day

Ken has seen great success with his musical career. While he spends most of his downtime in an isolated home by the sea, he goes on tour often, usually hiring other musicians as accompaniment rather than relying solely on his sythnesizer skills. He's not the only quaialin on Terra these days, but he's definitely still one of the most knowledgeable, so the research teams that work on Senti keep in contact with him via the trawl, occasionally inviting him to join them for excursions.
