Rennuid Tathviel (Rennuid (Songhaven))

One day there came a creeping vine,

Arising, in Violl's Garden.

It bore no name - or, never spoke it

Save in secret confidence.

And who would listen, who would pry

To know this strange new thing?

To lend to it his fate...?

-- Ah, that poor boy. The power he wields... he names it as 'divine.' But you can feel it, can't you? That sour note, that resounding tone -- another's voice, echoed, beneath his sacred words - no god has ever spoken so. It seems he's being tricked. ...Ah, but in his ignorance... does he not seem so joyful..?

Rennuid Tathviel founded a temple in the town of ????, claiming to represent a lost god of fate, whose true name was a sacred mystery - however, something about the temple rang strangely in the hearts of the townsfolk, especially those who could, in fact, sense the truly divine. The mayor decided that the temple's presence could not continue.

..Thus began the humble little temple's battle with the harrowing forces of bureaucracy. It was a battle that would end in a bitter loss for Rennuid - the temple was formally condemned by the town on a false pretense, and across their struggles, most of his congregation had ebbed away. One day he called these final remnants together, and informed them that their continued loyalty was a treasure beyond measure - but that the writing on the wall was clear. They were not welcome here, and he had decided to set off on a journey - to reflect on what went wrong, and to find a new home for their god's true body.

...In the meantime, he asked for them to keep watch over the old temple, and in particular to make sure the entrance to a chamber beneath it remained undiscovered.
