You might be prone to underestimating Kata due to her size, but be warned - she is a fierce demon warrior and a favorite general of the Empress-Queen, Cynthia. Kata's background is shrouded in mystery, but she has been a faithful right hand to Cynthia for years. Kata comes across as cold and snide, with low tolerance for tomfoolery; she's slow to anger but when she's mad, she's burning with rage. Underneath her tough exterior, Kata is driven by a deep sense of curiosity. She hates letting mysteries slip by unsolved, and will go to great lengths to uncover any information she can. It's hard to tell if it's a genuine interest in solving mysteries that motivates Kata, or if she's just truing to relieve the persistent pressure of curiosity on her psyche.

Kata is one of the demon elite, visibly displaying her teardrop-shaped Tri-Rubies - the demon symbol of power - for all to see. She's a ruthless fighter, sometimes sacrificing technique for brutality, and she gets away with it due to her speed and sharp senses. Kata's personal weapon is the Backspine - a broad, crooked sword of black metal. Overall, she's not someone you want to face in a fight.

Kata holds the distinction for being the character of mine with the furthest-stretching genealogy. She gets her personality and feline appearance from Kinkata, a Darkmatter Feli from the virtual pet site Subeta. That character in turn gets their name and association with darkness from a fake Pokemon I made up in 2003. Kinkata was a sheeplike Pokemon that eventually evolved into a big black bat.
