Yukiko was a normal high school girl living in a coastal city. While her school is quite large, she often keeps her distance after some gossip from middle school carried over, making her feel like her opportunity to start anew was ruined before she got the chance. She tried to join the swim team but ended up not qualifying, she tried to join a marine group but she felt like she didn't mix well, she tried many other clubs and groups with no luck and even the gossip actively effecting her time with some of them; ending with her just hanging by herself near the sidewalk railings while she stared at the beach and ocean from afar. Fast forward to now and she meets a peculiar person, Nori. He's a transfer student but she was a little quick to trying to brefriend him, looking awkward at first, before slowly becoming friends with him.

She began sharing how her love for the sea ignited with some animated show when she was younger, how her parents began slowly disliking each other as time went on, making her feel like she didn't have anyone to talk to. She's gotten use to it though, taking up little "chores" here and there when her family didn't give her anything to do. Keeping herself busy and even trying to self-teach herself swimming. She wasn't good at any games, given the fact that she had no one to play against to get better. Nori and her kept getting closer at friends, though a fishy incident made them bond much more. Now she's much happier and a lot less focusing on what has happened in the past. Now these days, it's hard to see her seperated from Nori.
