⇀ Up Until Now
The US saw a shift in its democracy and justice system around 2030. People around the country were being arrested on unknown accounts and weren't to be seen again. Deputies assured that prisoners were safe and were going to be given a fair trial but none ever occurred. Resistance groups were quickly put down and civil rights slowly stripped.
In late 2031, the symptoms of a new disease showed itself. The iris's in people's eyes began to fade and blend into the sclera, many reported hallucinations and being unable to control impulses. Conspiracies floated around that the government had created this virus to weaken the American people and their ability to resist the government.
In 2032, elections were held for a new President of the United States. A compassionate leader vowing to solve America's corrupt government was elected into office with such popularity that all the candidate needed to do was stay alive to get elected. The new President worked hard to fix the state of the government but as the weeks went by, their eagerness was fading. They seemed to be less ambitious to pass laws fixing the rights stripped from citizens during the previous years. They seemed to interact with the press and the people less, and whenever they were seen, they seemed dazed. The vivid confidence that had once lit their eyes had faded. The bills given to them for the people's rights were getting vetoed now. The people were confused and devastated that their president, who so compassionately vowed to help the American people, was now turning against them. Nobody in the government seemed to be interested in helping the people.
Resistance built up but was always violently put down and discouraged. Anyone suspected of being in a resistance group was arrested suddenly and disappeared without a trace. The disease became more widespread. Any research devoted to the disease was defunded immediately, which raised suspicion among the people. Symptoms seemed to be getting worse, seeming almost rabies-like. The disease had eaten away at some people's iris's entirely, leaving an empty white eye left. They seemed out of it entirely, compliant to any command given to them, no matter how violent or self-detrimental. ~
Personality
⇀ Description
Anna is a very straightforward person. She may not tell you what you want to hear but it's true. She's also just a terrible... terrible liar. While being blunt, she is also a pretty stoic person. Her calmness in handling any situation is almost uncomfortable to witness. She really does care for the well-being of others, but hardly shows it. She only softens to those she's really comfortable with, which happens to only be Alex. Even then, she still hides her feelings to protect his feelings. She has an incredibly difficult time opening up to others and is a very mysterious person because of it.

⇀ Quirks & Habits
- When Anna gets nervous, she tends to play with her hair or fidget with her clothing.
- Anna hates loud noises. Fireworks, babies crying, vacuums, squeaky toys, etc. She spends her Fourth of July with Alex listening to music very loudly to drown out the sound
- Anna is able to echolocate by humming. She can get around having to hum by wearing hard bottom shoes or flip flops and going by the clicking sounds they make. This is only good for hard floors. Other people's voices are also useful to her.
- She finds science incredibly fascinating. She loves learning about the world around her.
Appearance

Anna is chubby and taller than average standing at 5'9". She is fair skinned with milky grey eyes. Her eyes lack any pupils but have a shiny appearance. She has long, light green hair that reaches her butt and her bangs reach to her nose but are pulled back by hair clips. She has a round face and a hooked nose. She has a wide hourglass shape.
⇀ Important Notes
- Anna wears whatever Brook picks out for her. Most of the time its suspenders of any sort and a button-up blouse. Blouse may have collar brooches. Mary Janes are her most common shoewear but she'll wear anything with hard bottoms. She wears flip-flops when she's lazy.
- She's super-busty but also fat. She has wide hips so her body shape is an hourglass, just wide. Thick thighs saves lives.
History
⇀ Background
Anna came from a Russian family as her father was an immigrant and her mother was a first generation American. Anna knows a fair amount of Russian but isn't quite fluent in it. She was born blind and can get around fairly well without the assistance of a walking stick. Her family moved next door to Alex when they were four. Alex's parents made him hang around Anna and show her around, but they eventually were able to bond and have been friends since. Both became emotionally dependent on each other and are the most important person in each other's lives. When Alex left to join the military after his father was arrested, Anna decided to go to a nearby university and study there. She became interested in research involving blind people's hypersensitivity to vibrations and sound. She became friends with a pathologist from the university named Buddy. They and a few other people started renting a house together and Anna was interested in Buddy's research. When Alex came back, she was devastated to hear about what had happened to him. She basically dropped her life to take care of him. She expressed her displeasure of Alex's smoking habit and urged him to stop. She tried her best to help Alex cope with the loss of his mother and sister. When he was able to recover, she tried to return to college. An epidemic broke out and everything fell apart.
⇀ Family
Anna comes from a very Russian family. Her grandparents on her mother's side were the first to come to America and her father immigrated to America not long before she was born. Her family moved to New York when Anna was four years old due to her dad's job requiring them to move. Anna is an only child but was never really close to her parents. Her parents were often working. Anna spent most of her time at Alex's house, often eating with his family. Anna saw Alex's family as a second home. She'd occassionally visit her grandparent's house out of state during the summer.
Relationships
 ⇀Alex [ Best Friends ]Alex is Anna's most treasured person in the entire world. She cares about him very much and will comfort him in any way possible. Anna feels like Alex is the only person who truly understands her and appreciates all the help that Alex has given her. Basically, she loves him but in the friend way. She's very dependent on him as he is her. |
 ⇀Olivia [ Friends ]Anna doesn't reciprocate Olivia's crush. Olivia thinks Anna is very pretty and love-able and is often jealous of how close Alex is to Anna. Anna is basically a role model for Olivia as she's brave and protective of everyone. |
 ⇀Brook [ Friends ]Brook is the one who puts together Anna's outfits. She's jealous of Anna's curvy body but it also gives her the challenge of putting clothing on a curvy model. Since fashion design is something Brook is interested in, being able to clothe a curvy person opens up her designing ability. Anna is often yelled at by Brook for going out with Alex or sleeping at innapropriate times. Brook is super protective over Anna and she feels she needs to protect her from Alex. Anna really doesn't understand Brook's fuss over her but wishes she would stop yelling at Alex and everyone else. |
 ⇀Connor [ Aquaintances ]Anna and Connor aren't very close. They occasionally enjoy each others presence in silence or Anna will give Connor little advice and encouragement but not much else. Connor admires her and her relationship with Alex. He wishes he could be as intelligentand honest as her. |
 ⇀Buddy [ Good Friends ]Met each other in college. They became good friends through Buddy's pathology research, which Anna was very interested in. They eventually rented a house together with a few other people and Anna would spend her time listening to Buddy talk about his work. Buddy gave her the support she needed while Alex was away and calmed her nerves about his safety. |
