Corona Wellspring

I want it to be known that I purchased Corona on August 5th, 2019, and named her such shortly after. Her name comes from a layer of the sun, called Corona.

Corona was born as an only child to two happy parents, Nion and Rome, in a nice town called Dae, located near the center of Faen. Like almost all other residents of Dae, Nion and Rome were devout followers of Lilyanna, a Goddess of Light. 

The citizens of Dae believed they were the only true followers of Lilyanna, as their town had, in their belief, the only true depiction of her. To them all other versions, especially the belief that she was some kind of Goddess of Nature, were utter blasphemous. As per the norm for those within Dae's walls, Corona soon followed in her parents footsteps and became a devout believer of Lilyanna.

One very commonly known fact for all followers of Lilyanna, is that she would often choose a "Vessel" to sometimes talk to and receive a portion of her power. When she was 10, Corona began hearing a voice within her mind that she immediately knew was Lilyanna. She told her parents, whom told the Church, and they began training her for her eventual new and destructive powers.

Years later, on the day of her 15th birthday, Lilyanna gave her a quest; to travel across Lukroa and punish the one that deserved to be punished most. Should she complete it, she would receive the first of many blessings from Lilyanna.

A week later she had what she needed, and set out to fulfill this task set for her. It took almost a full year before she found whom she believed was most deserving of punishment; Lilith and Dunstan Terran, living in Layla, Crizka. She however did not learn their last name, just their first. This was better, she believed, as they had a kid and she didn’t want to end up meeting the kid again sometime in her life through an accident and find out she was the child of the first two people she ever killed.

Corona believed them deserving of punishment because of Lilith’s hobby; raising the dead. It was wrong and immoral for the dead to be raised after all, as Lilyanna had told her, no matter the reason for why they were raised. Corona believed that Dunstan knew of his Wife’s wrong doings-how could he not, after all?

She carried out the deed on the night of her 16th birthday, killing Lilith in the woods and Dunstan as he slept in their home. She left soon after, not bothering to learn what may come of the child she orphaned. Wasn’t her problem, and she wanted nothing to do with those thoughts. It would only hamper her progress.

Shortly thereafter Lilyanna made good on the deal, and rewarded Corona with a portion of her power, as well as tattooing the cross onto her body so as to prove Corona to be her current Vessel. With the power granted to her, Corona had become a Cleric of Light. Usually one would have to spend years of service in a temple to even hope to become a Cleric, but Lilyanna gave it to her quite quickly. When Corona returned home to the city of Dae, they threw a grand feast in her honour.

Since then she has risen through the ranks of the Church at a fast pace, seeing as she’s the Vessel, and still carries out deeds that Lilyanna tasks her with. None of them since have been near as bad, which Corona is thankful for. She didn’t like having to kill them, nor anyone else she’s had to kill since for other reasons, but she doesn’t regret it in the slightest. She’d kill them again in a heartbeat if she had to.

Her voice is similar to that of Makoto from Persona 5

Trivia:

• The crosses above her ears, as well as the cross tattoo on her body are to signify that she is the current Vessel of Lilyanna.
• Her favourite fruit is Oranges.
• When Lilyanna first made her presence known to Corona, she was understandably confused. After learning more about it however, she was more than happy to be her Vessel, as it meant being closer to Lilyanna.
• Some believe Lilyanna chooses a person because she believe they will play a large role in helping to save the world from something. Whether it's just barely changing the outcome so that there isn't a wide-scale panic by dealing with the issue before it can spread, or fighting an old God that has come back for revenge.
  • Others believe that Lilyanna's Vessel is the reincarnation of Lilyanna herself.
• When checking out people who are attractive to her, sometimes Lilyanna will judge them and tell Corona to reject them for whatever petty reasons. And sometimes Corona doesn't listen.
