Anya Clemons

Kyna's adoptive sister. She has dark skin and black hair, along with hazel eyes. Her two weapons are Longswords, with their sheathes at her sides.

A bit before Anya turned 5, Kyna was adopted by Anya's father, Birch. For about a year the three of them lived together happily. That was, at least, until Birch decided he wanted to raise and train Kyna to be his successor as the Pastor to their church. Said church follows the teaching of the Goddess Lilyanna, who's domain resides over Nature and Light. Both Kyna and Anya also followed this religion.

To say Anya was jealous of Kyna was a lie. Anya didn't mind much that Birch chose her over his own daughter; well, blood daughter that is. She cared more that he stopped treating Kyna like his child, and instead his student. The two tried their hardest to continue hanging out with each other when possible, but as the years went on, Birch stole Kyna away more often to train her more. It only got worse when Kyna was announced the Vessel for Lilyanna; the two rarely if ever had time to just be sisters.

While Birch trained Kyna in combat, magic, and in general knowledge, Anya was taught the same from one of Birch's friends, named Fi. She taught Anya her own form of combat, a tiny bit of magic, and general knowledge to her. However, Fi wasn't as overbearing with the teachings, unlike Birch, whom insisted Kyna learn 9 different languages before she turned 20, among everything else. 

Years past, and while Anya and Kyna had unfortunately grown distant, they never began to dislike the other. Anya has never blamed Kyna for getting all the attention from her dad, as it wasn't her fault that he started acting this way to her. By the time Anya was 20, she decided she'd start saving up money however possible, and move out as soon as she could. She hoped that she could bring Kyna along with her, but considering how protective Birch was of Kyna, and how little he seemed to care for Anya sometimes, she knew it would be difficult.

Nevertheless, a little bit after Kyna turned 23, she ran away from home to find her birth parents, and left a note explaining such for Anya, stating that she'd return once she had found them. Or at least, found out what may have become of them. Anya respected Kyna's drive to do what she pleased instead of being forced into what Birch wanted for her, and so she left shortly after as well. Not to find a new home or anything, just to leave and do her own thing. She didn't want to be barred down anymore, and chose to walk her own path.

Anya told Birch that she was leaving, and may not be back for some time, but he was too caught up in Kyna's disappearance to care enough. She wrote a small note for Birch, and a letter for Kyna that was left on her old bed, should she return before Anya did.

During Anya's adventures, she met many other wandering travelers as well. Deciding to keep her identity secret, she'd introduce herself as "Eagle". She ended up becoming the unofficial leader of their group, and would call her companions her "Sparrows". 

Anya and her Sparrows aimed to help all that they could as often as they could, be it just helping to get rid of pesky Bandits, or even taking down a few Young Dragons. During one excursion however, Anya never came back afterward, leaving her Sparrows to wonder what had happened. Did she get bored and finally leave, or was she taken out? They weren't sure.

Nevertheless, in honour of her and they community of helpers she had made, they erected a statue of an Eagle for her, and started up a Guild they named The Sparrows, and rapidly grew in numbers and respect.

Anya is a cheerful a fun-loving gal that knows when she needs to be serious. She primarily fights with two Longswords, although will cast magic occasionally.

Trivia:

• Part of the magic that Fi taught her was how to sense the location of nearby portals to other realms. Apparently, if trained enough, she may be able to create her own small portals to nearby locations and teleport herself.
• Anya had a pet cat that went missing around her 16th birthday. Sometimes she feels like she can hear her meowing, however.
  • Her cat's name was Pika.
  • Pika disappeared on a day that Anya was practicing with her Portal-based magic.
    • The spell Anya cast went awry and accidentally teleported Pika into the space between dimensions. Pika watches over Anya as a sort-of Guardian.
      • When Anya is finally capable of properly traveling through portals, she meets Pika again, whom is now immortal and can speak to Anya.
• Her faith in Lilyanna waivers sometimes. Sometimes following her as she once did as a child, and sometimes not.
