CHAPTER 2 . . . optional subtitle
Pluto's extreme isolation didn't last long when he met a star too stubborn to let him go, despite the dangers. Their name was Sun. A kind one, like everyone who had met their death when they met him. Yet they felt different. Wether it was luck or their death-repelling smile, death didn't come like he anticipated. Their friendship grew, but Pluto's paranoia grew bigger. Their words of reassurance weren't enough, so despite everything he's as distant as he can be. Sun won't give up though, and left him a chance of managing her newly formed system's outer "area". He accepts as he doesn't know how else to repay her. He's grateful to learn kindness and being given a chance to live in society.
he tries at least.
Not long after, Pluto would soon find himself to a large group of entity who couldn't tie their shoelaces. Marching and screaming like a death parade. Ghosts roaming around has become so common that he no longer gives attention to, if something they are going to attack him he won't panic and will give himself up.
They came and they saw Pluto, unbothered by the sight. Out Of pity, he offered them to tie their shoelaces and to Pluto's surprise, they were all extremely happy! They all titled him as the new "king of the dead" or whatever the hell they're referring to, and vowed to protect him at all cost. The death parade turns into a parade of celebration.
The news of this new death king spread like wildfire. All the monsters and unrestful spirits knew his name. Soon, Countless ghost has asked him to do many favour and he does his best to fulfill them. Some even came to challenge him (and by the protection of the greater unknown, he always gets his ways). With all this involvement with the dead, he decides to open a ghost business.
The business process was rather... Hard. He's got his employees and funds from "excorcising" (Which is forcing the spirits to join his ghost business). Most of his employees are foolish ghost fooling, cursing and crying around. Luckily Pluto is very patient and knew how to handle them for his own advantage, thanks to the cursed years. The road was rocky, but he succeed and made many riches of it. With business booming he made many powerful connection, even to the point of befriending politicians!
Content with what he had, he continued their cursed life as normal. With more peace. and ghost friends.
CHAPTER 3 . . .
Things didn't last long. He knew of it. But he has only lived for 4.5 billion years.
When Sun's sudden disappearance reached the Solar System, it threw them all in a jeopardy. A heavy chunk of her patrons left, with only the planets holding things together. Barely. Pluto tries not to care much and continues to live on. He didn't know why he was so disappointed. he should have known this would happen. Yet his longing would take him to branch the search into all things out of this universe.
And what he found was horrifying.
What's more horrifying is that a scholar, the sister of a person he distance himself from the most, had come to intern for him. And things would go much much worse. Or so he thinks.
