Growing up in a small town in the West that was too poor to survive, but somehow struggled on set the tone for Raynd's life. He always dreamed of escaping the town, and what better way to do that then at his best friend's side. And if he gets to go down in infamy with his partner, then at least no one will be able to say that he never made it.

Thayne [ partner ]
They were destined to be best friends from the moment they were born, as is what happens when your mothers are best friends and see each other through their pregnancies. While Raynd is 3 years older than Thayne, he's the more sensible of the two, coming up with their plans and letting his partner (in crime and in love, though the latter part took both of them entirely too long to admit to) carry out the acts with his flair for the dramatic. Even though they live a life running from the law, the two of them couldn't imagine doing it without the other. They both dream of one day escaping to a tropical island to live out the rest of their days together and in peace, but as it is, they're having a good enough time together.
