Basics
Thayne grew up in a family with too many kids in a town that was too poor for anyone to make it. He knew from an early age that if he was going to live forever, the best way was infamy and going out in a blaze of glory. He also knew that it was entirely likely that blaze would be a hail of bullets, but that comes with the lifestyle that belongs to an outlaw, robbing banks for a living and hitting up shops for kicks.

About
It's all fun and games when you're 5 years old and playing Sheriff and Outlaws. There's always the kids who gravitate to one side over the other, so that you end up with your groups of dedicated law enforcers, and dedicated law breakers.
When you're 5 years old and tell everyone you meet you want to be just like Jesse James when you grow up, they laugh and tell you that sounds like fun, you can be anything you want, kid.
When you're 10 years old and tell everyone who asks that you want to be just like Jesse James and an outlaw, people chuckle and roll their eyes at you, telling you to get back to tending the chickens, and go finish your chores for the day before washing up for dinner, and don't you dare go near that bull again, boy.
When you're 15 years old and get dropped off on your front porch by the local Sheriff for the 10th time this year for trying to convince the kids who live in town to rally and run away from home and help you steal some candy from the corner shop, your parents thank him for returning you and promise him that it won't happen again. When they close the door to dole out your punishment, everyone knows that it will happen again, and you take the blows with that knowledge in the back of your mind.
When you're 18, and tearing home with a wicked grin on your kiss-swollen lips after your most recent rendezvous with a boy travelling through your town, the last thing you expect when you open the door to your house is to see your father's face twisted in rage on the other side, and you definitely don't expect to feel the blinding blow of his fist on the side of your face. Instead of being told "Happy birthday!" you're cited verses from the Bible by your father while your mother cries in the background about not raising an abomination, and your presents are every sting of a belt raking across your back, this time with the buckle.
Your younger brother cries in the background that he didn't mean for this happen when he ran home and told your family that he saw you kissing someone in town, and your older brothers shush him and take him outside where the rage is lessened with distance. When you finally stop crying out that you're sorry and you didn't mean it (everyone knows you did, and that only fuels your father's rage), and you're stoically staring at the ground taking the beatings as your nerves refuse to acknowledge the pain anymore, only then does your father stop and tell you to get out and never return.
You don't waste a second in forcing yourself to your feet and running away from the home you've never really been welcome in, and towards the only sanctuary your panicked mind can think of.

When your head is in the clouds, you need an anchor. Thayne is the dreamer of the pair, and he needs Raynd to hold him down and knock some sense into him every now and again. They've known each other forever and a year (at least that's what it feels like; Thayne met Raynd the day he was born), and they have no intentions of letting themselves be seperated. With his flair for the dramatic, he's always the one making sure that their names get out there with the public, and he knows that his partner has already set up 3 escape routes for him to fall back onto just in the nick of time. One day they'll retire to a small, secluded island, but until then Thayne has no intentions of stopping, as long as he has Raynd at his side.
