Oripopo: (Spanish) The turkey vulture (oripopo in Venezuelan Spanish) is the most widespread of the New World vultures. The subspecies found in Venezuela, Cathartes aura ruficollis, has yellow-white or green-white markings on their head unlike other subspecies.

Personality: Serene, Prone to Hyperfocus, Kind of Gross

Likes: Roadkill, Spinning/Flying in Circles, Sunbathing, Cleaning, Weird Smells

Dislikes: Interruptions, Small Spaces, Being Rushed, Cold Weather

Design Notes:

• Based on Turkey Vultures (Cathartes aura)
• Large, muscular body
• HUGE wings
• Feathered body with naked neck/head and extremities
• Feathered vulture tail above their main tail
• Red droplet markings glow

Character Notes:

• Nonverbal and silent aside from the occasional hiss when angry/startled
• Collects dead animals for taxidermy projects (feel free to draw them collecting roadkill or doing taxidermy, I have no problem with mild-to-moderate gore in that context -- just kindly tag/mature filter it accordingly when uploading it publicly)
• Usually very calm and chill, but if startled or annoyed while hyperfocusing on a carcass, they will not hesitate to hiss and fling a half-dissected corpse at the intruder before dashing out of the room
• Likes to spin, pace, or soar in circles
• Uncannily good sense of smell
• Panromantic
